It would be STUPID not to put ATB at the head of the non-afterparty DJs. And then list the other more major DJs and/or more well-knonw locals. The flyer is for promotion, duh.
Common Sense. Use it.
Lastly, if you look after that it's pretty darn obvious that each group of DJs listed are basically by club/float/party and within each of those groups it's alphabetical. It took me 10 seconds to notice that.
In the end, the fact you complained about that of all things...WOW! |

i actually mentioned your negativity in the other thread.
the message said NO LOGOS and ALPHABETICAL... so thats what I mentioned.
Dave, i dont have time to sit around and study who's playing what floats and where etc, im busy at work so i dont have time to study this.
after looking at the first four lines of artists it was obvious they were listed based on popularity/name recognition.
followed by 3 lines of local artists i recognize.
after that the TYPE is REALLY SMALL and hard to read, so if not in alphabetical order tough to try and find a particular artist. I am sure we can get a TEXT list of the artists in alphabetical order.
I dont need a fancy flier. |

| i think a lot of people are pleased, and a lot of people are not pleased. either way, it will still be a very fun time. even though i said im not going to the afterparty, i will still definitely go to the day parade, cuz it will be awesome and i think thats the most important part of the whole weekend. |

yup! so many awesome acts, all day, all around civic center, all free! for me it's overwhelming enough trying to catch at least a couple dozen specific djs at different floats let alone getting caught up in random awesome floats. and i hope most people's musical tastes are rich and diverse enough that they can look forward to and appreciate acts outside of the dj mag top 10 or whatever. and doing the entire day too! not just showing up at 5pm... |

| The Spundae, Skills, RS float is always last. Prob because all the flights still need to be setup and all that good stuff and it's hard to say who have landed in time and all that good stuff. |

To better understand the message you quoted me from, I also mentioned it was address to the local talent of the Bay Area and Northern California. Basically it was an opportunity for those DJs to be billed as well. He or she had a choice of not being on the flyer if they didn't like the guidelines we set. The flyer is big enough as it is.
Logos meaning affiliated logos. He's a headlining artist, the board has to bill him the way he wants to be billed, if they want him on the flyer. This applies to any promoter.
As for the alphabetical order, that was more my personal idea and the flyer took a different direction with the margins being centered, so it probably looked better putting certain crews and djs in the order you see.
and no ATB is not playing Spundae's night at Ruby Skye, in fact I'm really excited about our guest which hasn't been announced yet, let alone guessed by anyone. |

I noticed on the flyer that it says "PARADE IS FREE - $10 ADMISSION FOR FESTIVAL AT CIVIC CENTER PLAZA"
I don't know if it was this way last year or the year before or not? (I'm always rollin in on our float) I always thought it was only donations. (?) Can someone confirm this? and how will this be controled? hand stamps? bracelets? because i know a lot of people kinda wander outside of the civic center and back... :conf: |
