My boyfriend and I are planning a vacation to Palm Springs for around this time. I think we are going to try to incorporate this into our trip. Nothing like this happens in Canada :)

I have no doubt :D

How long of a drive is it to SF from LA?

Im going to look into this southwest deal, it might make more sense to fly.

I'm looking forward to visitng San Franscisco... It is a city I know I am going to love

If you only stop for gas and average 80-85mph, the about 6 hours. If you leave LA or enter SF at the wrong time though - ala near rush hour -- they can go up dramatically .

It'd prob be cheaper to fly if you get good deals between renting a car for a whole weekend + gas (+ insurnace if your credit card doesn't provide it for rental cars)...and PARKING. You drive here, you are gonna pay an arm and a leg for parking. If you get a hotel around union square, garages are like $30+ a day in that area. Cause once you get to SF, you can just use BART to get itno the city and walk everywhere from there since everything is super to close to each other.. No need for a car!

Flights are 1 hour 15 minutes or so

la to sf is about 400 miles by road. it will take you 6-7 hours depending on traffic conditions. i don't recommend it if you're on vacation, the drive will pretty much put you out energy-wise for the rest of the day. flying up will take 70 minutes and with the fire sale at southwest that ends today, you will be spending the same as you would on gas to fill up the rental.

Maybe that will help, hurry though!!!!!
San Francisco is amazing! I dont like cities much but SF is great!
I am a country kid so i ould never live downtown, but i wanna live closer than two hours like i do now.
Make sure you go to LovEvolution, there is nothing like it. Most parties have a room with each genre, one artist can through off the whole vibe and leave you stranded for a few hours till another good artist come on (etd Pop).
But not this show! there must be 50 floats with everything playing on it.
And you cant go wrong with a party that has naked people of all ages, entertainment of all kinds, in and out access with your hotel quickly accessible if you get one close enough.
now lets see who is spinning to really tp it off, hopefully some news later this month.
