Which one keeps us alive longer, in existence. If you think this is only temporary what is the point in trying, you have eternal salvation and the afterlife to reward you for your sacrifices on earth.
Well seeing that is utterly and totally false, then well I would rather see us united in progress towards a more rewarding and sustaining life in the NOW. |

You're sure there isn't an after life as much as a Christian fundamentalist is confident there is an after life. |

Joss, I guess you don't live in the US because if you did, your goal is to amend the first amendment of the Bill of Rights which states, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof".
The US was founded on these beliefs and if you think that the future of the world is going in a direction even remotely resembling atheism, you're kidding yourself and because you are so far detached from reality, it kinda makes you and your kind seem pretty foolish. |
I live in the good part of the US. The Pacific Northwest. While my views are obviously in the extreme, this area definitely harbors a more rational and realistic view on religion, at least in the majority.
What I am advocating for is the ideal, the Utopian, which we all know will never happen.
That is why I love nuclear weapons. While the hippies and the environmentalists fear a world-death from the throws of our own creation killing the planet, I believe we will face a much more quick end. About 30 to 40 minutes on mega-high and then a good few decades of cooling off for the last stragglers. ;) |

I base my views on the understandable and the verifiable. What you choose to believe will happen after you no longer affect this world is fine, but if it somehow affects the rest of society in reaching progress then your views are poison in the blood, a cancer, a virus, malevolent and intolerable and drastically needing to be cured. |

| Joss you're not rational or realistic at all. You're just as extreme and insane as the cazy right wing conservative tea-partying christians. |

I love how the Palestinian-Israeli conflict always turns into a religious type of thing.
Religion has nothing to do with this. Its all about land. Plain and simple. People only bring up religion, is just to start even more , thats not even suppose to be part of it.
We all know religion was used to control people who could not read or did not have a proper education. |

No, I am realistic, like I said this will never happen, its the Utopian ideal.
Like I said. We will figure out a way to kill ourselves before we ever reach any sort of state where we wont. |

No, for the Palestinians it is about land, but for the jews it is about holy land, which makes it an argument that is far too powerful for it to be delt with in any rational or realistic way because people are too touchy feely about religion because its a sham. |

Nou, not all religious folks are intolerant like that. And, read your own words: Doesn't your crusade against religion somehow affect the rest of society?
Why should progress be more important than the lives of billions anyway? |
