This is the sweet part. IF Turkey is attacked by Israel (for right or wrong) then America will either have to side with NATO or Israel.

I think it applies on both sides: the "blockade busters" could have been smart by not trying to bust the blockade and in their quest for global coverage of their cause they could have taken Israel to the limit by barricading themselves into the control room of the ship and not attack the IDF at all; get to Israeli waters and if IDF can stop the ship, let them, but let it be well-publicized even if the blockade itself is wrong. In summary, even though it is "right" to end the blockade, being "smart" entails continued resistance of the blockade through peaceful means.
With regard to Israel, even though they have a sovereign "right" to protect their country, being "smart" would entail not killing anyone on the ship, but waiting until they port, and then water hosing/tear gassing/pepper spraying/tazing/rubber bulleting/getting the advantage of their numbers, and arresting everyone through peaceful means.
What the poster said is true, but extremely obvious and devoid of any passion. He's a fence-sitter. |

Wonder how Israel was able to obtain the footage. Either the pacifists got too excited and forgot about the ship's security cameras or the jews simply staged it (jews!).
I also read some articles about the flotilla winning the so called media war by having cameras on board transmitting video back to whoever the hell they came from (apparently the part of Cyprus occupied by Turkey [no way!]). Well, still haven't seen a video. Either they don't know how to re-encode video or they got hacked by the same jews, again (jews!). |
