In fact NATO would be obligated to defend Turkey under promise of the treaty. :p
That is why so many countries are in Afghanistan, because 9/11 invoked Article 5, which states that an attack on any one member of NATO is an attack on all of them. :)

OK all you anti semitic racists. If Israel & Turkey went into an all out war, which side would the usa take? Would they defend the Muhammed pumpin muslims or the country which owns the states federal govt & has them eating outta their hands. huh huh huh??

Hating Israel is not hating jewish people (though I still consider them retards for being religious, but so are christians and muslims).
Israel is the biggest hypocrisy of the 20th century.
The world fights a war against tyranny, tyranny based on the expulsion of national and native groups from their homelands and massacre on a huge scale, and then what do they do after? They, the UK and France, along with Zionist radicals in Europe reach a mutual agreement and decide to let the Jews of Europe have their own country in the British colony of Palestine where Israel is now. That means basically taking the majority population, telling them to off, and giving it to the European jews.
This got rid of the jews in Europe for the most part (the British and the French before World War II were very anti-semetic, even after the war there was deep rooted anti-jewish policies and social attitudes) and let the Zionist miniority of the Jewish population get their "homeland" which is BS as the Jews have traditionally been a nomadic tribe.
So yea? Israel. The only reason the US can't criticize it openly is because we'd look even more hypocritical because of basically what we did to the Native American population from the 1600's onwards. Beyond that you have the disturbing evangelical christian sects that believe supporting Israel will allow a series of events to occur that will bring the second coming of christ and judgement (which, btw the jews will fail, so yea, support them now, let them die in biblical hellfire after they serve their purpose).
Basically the whole region is a giant cluster of stupid. Since we can't kill them all we might as well do the easy thing and de-jew the region, I mean the jews can stay, but do not make it a jewish state, make it secular, give it back to the people that had lived there before 1948.
Even better would be to make it an international zone under no ones control since too many religions consider it a holy area.
Anyway, I hope a lot of people die, on both sides, because it will just mean less stupid s in the area. |

this is so true it hurts. :( I really wish the Hamas would die on its own, without any impact from the IDF. If only a moderate, maybe liberal Israeli party could reach the grassroots of the Palestinians, perhaps with foreign supervision, then Hamas could be nullified, but this is a long process which requires zero further violence on behalf of Israel. And that premise is never going to happen. |
