Most boring world cup ever? even Brazil can't buy a goal FFS.
Abercrombie
Whoever hasn't heard a vuvuzela before obviously has never been to their local community hockey arena for game in the last 30+ years.

I can't believe it took them over 55 minutes to score a goal....thats life Canada not scoring a goal against North Korea in hockey for two periods.....it just shows how pathetic soccer really is.

not really....by world ranking its a fair comparison. I guess if you put midgets in the hockey nets it would make it more realistic.

I'm not the only one who thinks this world cup has been a complete bore so far. It is sad when the number one ranked team in the world cannot score a goal in 55 minutes on the 108th ranked team.

BS

There is no bad teams at the World Cup!
The fact that NK is playing in Africa means a lot already. And you cant underestimate this team!

However, NK would never play Canada in any major hockey tournament, cause they are not good in hockey!

makes sense?

The fact that NK is ranked where they are shows they are not even in the same league as Brazil and shouldn't be in the same tournament as Brazil.

If you take a team ranked approximately in the same area as NK in hockey....say Croatia, which is ranked 26th in the world, I would expect Canada would have more then one goal in two periods.

Dude, it's not even just this topic; your pessimism is honestly getting way too predictable--regardless of the topic.

Also, there is nothing particularly shocking about Brazil's performance or any football giant coming short when playing a severely lower-ranked team. You can't compare football to the NHL in this way; two different game dynamics. If you have been watching football for a while you would know that in comparison to other professional sports, it's very difficult to predict the outcome of a football match than you might with a baseball or hockey match. To find evidence of this, all you'll need to do is survey the last 5 world cups.

That's why soccer is better than hockey!
