Agreed.
We could evaluate every successful teams typical or traditional play or strategies but if the right player are in place they will not have a success, that's plain and simple.
I.E. ppl criticize luca toni for doing nothing in '06 coming off an amazing club circuit prior too....in fact he did do his job he created distraction being double teamed frequently.
With so many able bodied key players able to return yet over 50% were not on the team mostly due to politics or morals, you cannot tell me it was their A team.
That being said I wasn't expecting a repeat this year if they had their 06 squad. It would have been a better run and a lot more entertaining, the Italians lacked soooooo much heart and personality and swagger.
Just didn't feel right from when the final cuts were made. |
