S.A's first goal ever scored at the world cup. And a great celebration!

Rogers On Demand App... (free)
$10 to enroll, then $5 per month.
Quality is great, only crashed once on me.
Best thing about this, is it streams in 3G but doesn't count against your data plan.

Good on Rogers to make this affordable for everybody...

Mexico should have won that game, that blown call with the dissallowed goal was the worst call I have ever seen in a world cup.

The South Africian player is clearly still on the goal line. Horrible.

I'm blind, I'm deaf, I wanna be a ref!

Nope!!! I know it seems off (because the last player back was a defender and not the goalie) but the refs made the right call according to the rules.

First off here is a link to a FIFA Flash Illustration explaning the offsides rule.

Here is the explanation:

quote:
Carlos Vela had the ball in the net in the 40th minute, only to see it disallowed for offside. Confusion briefly reigned, because there was a South African defender on the goal-line. How can you be offside when you have a defender on the goal-line? When you’re behind the keeper, that’s when. To be onside, the attacker has to have two opposition players between himself and the goal. See this FIFA flash illustration. The two opposition players usually means one defender plus the keeper, but when the keeper advances beyond you, having one defender between you and the goal is not enough.

Excellent work from the linesman and referee. They got it 100% right. Respect.

Ok, NOW I'm kinda pissed! :whip:

When I signed up with my BlackBerry, it said that I could watch ANY World Cup match live streaming, OR watch previous day's matches "ON DEMAND"

Which apparently I cannot, I was trying to show a friend the service/app and it wouldn't work, said content unavailable!

WTF! I was really looking forward to using this to watch the missed early morning game matches while at work during my lunches and downtime!

Anyone else having this problem? I really don't want to tear into some poor rep at Rogers tomorrow!
