Compared to what other professors... running ones, jumping ones?

I believe most professors sit in chairs and figure this stuff out.

Also, shut the up. :)

Thank you for the valued contribution you've made to this thread. We, here at TA, really appreciate your unique perspective and open candor. While it appears you've taken to disagreeing with one of our senior/junior members, relative to the time you began posting, your thoughts are so cogent and inherently meaningful that even if the person to whom you are replying takes issue with you in one of his/her subsequent replies, I would like to urge you, here and now and in perpetuity, to stop posting, entirely.

Thank you, very much. Realize that I'm not taking issue with the contents of your post(s), nor am I endorsing it. I am merely asserting that, because you've done such a great job with this last post, further participation from you is completely unnecessary. Ever. Period.

As in, you're done and please don't post anymore.

You are a stupid douche bag. If we need you to talk about the nuclear power plant's schematics we will call you. If the meltdown was in your parents backyard you wouldn't be so cavalier about the situation. I bet you haven't donated anything. You seem to get off on this like its a game. Its not.

While I wouldn't put it out there with as much fervor as IGK, it does seem as if the actual situation, and the one you made it out to be, are quite different stories in actuality.

I know I came off a little harsh. But don't worry I don't expect it to have any effect on him. He probably enjoys the attention.

BTW if anyone cares, Echos is in Japan now. She said she was leaving Tuesday, so I'd assume she is in country by now... That is unless they changed her plans due to the plant stuff, not sure.

Anyone see this yet? I don't even like dogs, but this is heartbreaking. The video is of a shivering and disoriented dog sticking by another injured dog, refusing to leave his its side. Talk about loyalty.

The good news is, both dogs have been rescued and are alive and receiving vet care.

The only facts are that we as normal folk pretty much have to rely on what supposed "experts" have to say on this subject. You can research the basics of nuclear reactor technology all you want, but you're far from being a nuclear technician. Even current and former nuclear techs can't know exactly what is happening in the reactors. They may think they do, but as with every other nuclear accident, most of the hard facts won't be discovered until later when the incident has been resolved and research is able to be done.

I think a more interesting question is that if that crazy nuclear fallout in the US picture was true, would our government tell us? If yes, what would they do? Is it even possible to evacuate millions of people in 10 days, most of whom are probably in a panic?
