Ok, official start dates are up:

STARTING DATE: Monday 7th Of July 2003
ENDING DATE: Sunday 17th Of August 2003

If anyone has a problem, just say so....

You can still sign up for the comp, but will evidently have less time to complete it from now on.

(the double post is so that people see this, and dont skim over it...)

Hopefully you wont listen in winamp to get the answer and use that shabby quicktime player instead :)

I will enter but only if the deadline is reasonable, that long is unreasonable for me, I'd be too impatient and most likely forget about it. A sense of urgency is a good incentive to get it done. I'm also not fond of the acapella, I was expecting it to be dry, but it's got both reverb and delay already applied.

I only said those things because I wanted this competition to be good for a change, not to bash it. In the past 80% of the people who originally signed up never ended up submitting their entry, and the deadline had a lot to do with it.

You simply cannot please everybody, if you've got other projects at hand then perhaps you should consider not entering, or if you really want to, you could put off those projects and devote time to the competition instead.

i won, i guessed right!! :D:D:D yay me!!

i'm not sure you've read the whole thread... but it said remix of Plummet-Damaged... not your own track

theoden
if everyone that entered finishes a remix this could get very interesting.
i can hardly wait to listen to peoples submissions.

Any producers here that released some tracks?
sash
the original song, plumb - damaged is actually a sad song,
quote:

"Damaged," a nearly whispered word-and-sound painting of a woman struggling with the aftermath of sexual abuse, is one example of the difficult territory where Plumb roams. But Arbuckle wouldn't have it any other way. "Physical and sexual abuse is such a far-reaching theme," she explains. "I've received so many letters from people who feel like they have baggage because of itÉand that no one is ever going to really love themÉthat they'll never marryÉor that they just feel so alone. It's my effort to share hope."

i dunno, it'd feel weird being danced to at a party.. maybe its just me
