yep its cool, it just means you have a bit less time :/

And yes, imo thats fine for a final judging format.

Oh, and steve, ill talk to you if we need some space for sure :)

i'm happy to judge it on that scheme.

ABSYNTH
Sorted, thats the way we can score this. I will put a new thread on the front page so all in the comp can see what we will be looking for and a list of all 5 judges...........
arctic
finally got to fixing the list.

i also have a bit of an urgent reguest. in the club mix, when the main vocals come in, another lead saw synth comes in over the one already running.

There isnt a midi for this, and i was wondering if anone has managed to program this/can do it, could they please upload it and post it for everyone to have...dont be greedy :p
Spad
Am I too late to enter? Don't really have an alias so just put me down as Spad.

edit: with regards to voting...it seems very technically biased. Surely more credit should go on making a tune which is good to listen to and would go down well on a dancefloor than on how well somebody can use their software? Not saying the other isn't important but it's a bit like saying that being a good DJ is 90% mixing and 10% tune selection (tho I guess that's a matter of opinion, maybe that's important to some).

Anyway, if you hadn't guessed still learning what all the buttons and knobs do :D Will enter for the experience tho :)

Arctic:

The notes for the riff are easy.

f#, c#, f#(octave+1) for 1 bar
g#, c#, g#(octave+1) for 1 bar
a#, c#, a#(octave+1) for 2 bars

notes are 1/16ths spaced 1/16th appart in triplicates for however number of bars (being it one or two).

for instance, lets say you use Bome's keyboard where...
F# = g,5 C# = 2 G# = h,6 A# = j,7
the notation would kinda look like this for 4 bars.....
g252g252g252g252g2h262h262h262h262j272j272j272j272j272j272j272j27j2

kewlness
i know this is kinda late for a tip, but if you haven't heard the original mix it's better to finish your own remix before hearing it... makes for more creativity... just my own 0.02$

i added these $0.02 before too so now there's $0.04! the original is just soo terrible. better to not listen to it so you can make much better use of the (terrible) vocals. hehehe.

99% finished my track now. now my problem of mastering (or lackthereof). :stongue:

arctic

i`ll be building my own very soon, but it isn`t within the remix comp range, so i have 2 pass, sorry u guys!

good luck 2 everyone, and see ya next time;)
