P4 2.4 backed up with 1024 ddr;) Runs like a dream all day.

My old p2:whip: :whip: :whip: What a pice of , but it got me where i am 2 day.

the p2 was good enough when i was just starting out producing, but nowadays i just use a lot of fx, which it simply cant handle.
i`m prolly gonna get me an amd 2600+ with 512 mb ddr 2 start off with. i can always upgrade that so:)

Not saying the other isn't important but it's a bit like saying that being a good DJ is 90% mixing and 10% tune selection (tho I guess that's a matter of opinion, maybe that's important to some).

you have a point, but the problem is that judging becomes very subjective then.. for instance, you could have made a storming progressive remix, but a judge doesn't give you much points because he isn't into progressive at all.. the idea with the actual judging scheme was to be as objective as possible.. there is a category for originality/creativity, because obviously there's more to a track than just technical details, but the points that are awarded for that are fairly limited, so that a judge wouldn't rate a track completely according to his personal preferences..
