I'd remix it for the sake of the contest, but I'd take it as far a way from cheese as possible :p I'd recommend that the track is changed. I can't help but feel the decision as been rushed somewhat! |

Well, if everyone is extremely unhappy then it obviously can be organized in another way. It's not like I will burst out in tears if I don't get to decide the track. From posts here I thought people would like to do the track and I thought it could be fun to do as well. I don't think the number of existing remixes matters though. Sound Of Goodbye had alot of mixes, and I still think there was a lot of good and unique remixes after the last competition.
My choice stood between Plummet - Damaged and Bt - Remember. Both has acapellas available and should be interesting to remix. I couldn't really decide, but in the end I went for Damaged because I thought other people wanted to do it as well:conf: I could might as well go for Remember, I wanted to do both tracks. My choice still stands, with Remember as number 2 if people rather want that. If you want to go by that or do it another way is not really up to me. |

| why not make it a choice between two tracks-- like you can remix either track? seems sensible... |

I think it should be one track....
I have the pella for lange - i believe, and bt - remember (in bt's case a 192)...
both were suggested in the last thread and both got a lot of support as well.
The thing is, no one was against damaged, until it had been chosen, THEN people decided to come in and comment (some did it before, but many did not). Quite frankly, if you just decide to comment afterwards (conciously), then you can;t really complain.
However, if lots of people are objecting, and unfortunatley, a LOT of people clearly are...i think we should consider changing it. Fatboy has just given the ok to bt-remember, so if ANYONE has a problem with that, PLEASE say so now, so we dont get this whole thing happening again :( |

if you dont wanna remix it then dont..
if you wanna then go for it..
The fact is that PLUMMET - DAMAGED was picked.
Ive never seen ne thing like this. People complaining..
You have freedom over it.. to do whatever you want.. have some fun.. win the contest then pick the next track to be remixed.

I see what you mean, but frankly, in it's current state, i can see the case for changing it. Many of ta's best producers are dropping out cause of the choice, and a fair bit of friction has occured.
I think that perhaps it might be wise to change it to bt, as fatboy (who has the final call) only went for dammaged cause he thought it was most popular. He has jujst gone for BT, so frankly i see the case for changing.
You have done a lot of work on the midi & pella, and im truly sorry if that has to be lost, how would you feel about switching? |
