Because the judging isn't done, that's how it was done last time as well. Once that judging is over, and the results up, the ftp can be converted from a judges only thing to a free for all ;) |

Well well, 2 of the people who entered decided it was nesecary to DOWNLOAD as well as upload, one with a secret account.
en2t made a fake account, and downloaded other people's remixes, and extalin downloaded one track in his own account (this may be a misunderstanding, as just getting one song seems a bit odd).
Did you really think Rb2k1 couldn't track you?
Either way, couldnt you just wait?, is it that hard to follow a few simple rules?
I'm not quite sure what to do, i don't know if disqualification is apropriate tbh, but it was still a stupid thing to do. |

..and the mix's will all go onto a real fast server i have so everyone can download to their hearts content..

.. yeah i deno what we should do about the downloaders but.. it wasnt allowed and it did violate the rules... it just wasnt cool.. making an account called "test".. =\ |

disqualification would be rather fierce..
we could deduct a few points?!

Yeah i agree, i think a dq is too harsh. Having said that, he intentioally made a fake account to download tracks without getting detected, which is not the way to go about earning trust :clown: |

i thought that might have been a bad idea.. thats why i only downloaded one cuz after i did i decided it prolly wasnt a good idea. yes, i admit to my stupidity and this will be a learning experience and im glad something like this happened to me early on so that in the future i will remember this in case i ever get into a situation where there is more at stake.
anyway, seeing as how my mix wasnt even in on time and i broke the rules as well i think its probably better for me to just resign from the competition... because i dont think it would really be fair to everyone else if i were even considered. i would like to say though that i wasn't trying to do it without being detected, i just made a dumb decision to download one of the songs.
its all good though, nothing to get too serious about seeing as how there is not a whole lot at stake (not that the competition isn't important, just that its not like we were competing for money, or a record deal or something of that nature), but i apologize to everyone and if i compete in any future competition then you can be sure it won't happen again.
with all that said, good luck to the rest of you remixers, i cant wait to hear what you've done with it (obviously :nervous: ).

Guys, I am truly sorry about this, I had absolutely no intentions to cause any harm by it. It was just a stupid act out of curiosity. I didn't try to be secret about it or conceal anything, that's why I put down my own email when I created the account, which was "[email protected]," so I knew that rb2k1 would know it's me. I also used the name "test" for the account simply because I knew that my old name "en2t" was removed from the server as were all others. I would really appreciate it if you would let me stay in the competition. Once again, I appologize for my actions and hope no one feels harmed by them. Thanks.

We aren't nazi's that want to boot people, i personally don't think it calls for kicking out etc, just a reminder that you shouldn't do it.
It seems to have been an honest mistake, and i wasnt planning on actually reprimanding anyone, so i'm sorry that extalin decided to leave.
Just don't do it again or you'll get a slap :p |
