Oh how right you are. Is it me or do those S replicate themselves exponentially? More and more of such ******s ruining my movie-going experience as of late. Joking around during the movie, constantly making pseudo-sarcastic comments like "pfft, yeah right" or "cool man! So realistic!"..or clapping while Trinity dies, or "boohooohoo" while Neo gets bling and so on...WTF?? STFU n00bz!!! No1 cares, if all u wanna do is endless bashing then for s sake do it in your own house, and watch the dvd but dont it up for ppl who're seriously interested in watching the movie.
GOD I was about to punch the guy next to me...So much bull, and that from an adult :whip: :eyes: :whip: |

So the story begins all over again, right? But then the sunrise and Sati....didn't figure that part out yet:conf:
And who will tell if the machines will keep their peace with humanity? After all, they are machines who can't think/feel, so they don't feel justified to leave Zion at rest.
Maybe a really stupid question, bu Why was there a war in the first place? I mean, the machines had the humans captured for their energy, the whole Matrix was doing fine and yet they still wanted to attack those few people in Zion?
All in all a good movie (besides the ending, I wasn't totally satisfied with....maybe had too high expectations..) |

This is for those who dont understand the true being of Neo, and some of my thoughts.
First of all, Neo is NOT created by the architecht, I mean he is becuase hes generated by machines in the fields, but, he has a diversion which causes fluctuations in the matrix, and the architecht describes it as: "the result of an unbalanced equation inherent to the programming of the matrix", thus that means that the equation can be printed in anyone, so anyone is a potential one, the one who figures it out can manipulate the equation for his bennefits in our case: Neo.
About Neo being human, thats a question that many people are discussing, Neo is infact human IMO, becuase, when Smith fights him in the grand finale, he asks:
Why get up, why get up when you know youre gonna fail, when you know there is no point, no purpose.
Neo sums up the whole idea of the movie in 4 words:
"Becuase I Choose To"
He states the freedom of choice, and refuses to think that his life are a basic pattern of action and reaction.
This was also reffered in the first movie when Morpheus asks Neo:
Do you believe in fate Neo?
Neo answeres "No"
"Why not?"
He answeres "Becuase I dont like the idea that I'm not in control in my own life"
Based on these facts I believe Neo is human.
My thoughts on the final battle, Smith and the Oracle:
Just like Smith was created to balance the equation of the one, the Oracle was created to balance the Architect's equation, they share the same power, thats why Smith laughs when he takes over the Oreacle's body, becuase that was the moment that he gained the full control in the Matrix.
The Architect allows Neo to enter and stop Smith becuase "The program Smith has grown beyond your control"
thats because as soon as he has the Oracle's body in his possesion he can see into the future, hence he foresees tha battle against Neo, and he sees his victory, one more explanation for why he laughes if you will.
Thats also why he fights Neo with only one Smith, becuase he knows hes gonna win.
Here comes the very very very important part of choice and
"We can never see past the choices we dont understand"
the Oracle says that no one can see beyond it, not even Smith with all his power.
Hence when Smith is facing Neo at the very end of the battle he says
"Wait I've seen this moment, I've seen you down on the floor like that and I said something, what did I say?"
Then he chooses the phrase"
"Everything that has a beginning has an end"
But right after that he says
"No thats not right, I'm not supposed to say that"
He doesnt understand his choice, thus he never saw beyond that choice that he didnt understand, and never saw Neo getting up, thats why hes afraid of Neo.
At the end Neo states "What are you afraid of?"
Smith answeres "This wasnt supposed to be like this"
And then Neo understands that he cant defeat Smith, he understands that Smith was right all along.
"It was inevitable"
When Smith changes Neo into another Smith, Neo's equation dissapears, hence Smith which is supposed to balance him is no longer needed, so he's destroyed, and the reason the Oracle is the only one left is becuase she represents the Architect, and she is needed for the survival of the Matrix, she cant be destroyed, becuase if she will, so will the Architecht and thsu endning the Matrix.

The machines were slaves for the human in the beginning, but they made a riot against all human kind. That's why there's a war :)
Check out Animatrix, great background stories about the Matrix! |

the movie was total crap... A 2 1/2 fight scene w/ absolutely no substance...
Completely dissapointed with the complete lack of story advancement..
Why introduce all these characters in M2 if they only have a 2 min scene in M3.
They took an amazing movie in M1 which had so much substance, philosphy and story and turned it into a 4 hour shooutout w/ M2/M3. |

yes, i like very much how at the end everything did boil down to choice, everything tied in together... and i really liked the references to the first movie.

to be more technical about it, Neo's variable becomes zero, therefore Smith becomes zero... but what boggles my mind is.... if smith grows infinitely powerful... his variable becomes bigger in the equation... so shouldn't neo's variable become smaller... but that REALLY depends on the type of equation we're talking about, although those equations are more of an abstract thing... but think about it, this is the theme of good vs. evil, the ying & the yang...

yeah, that's what it was, the "deja vu" part... i'm not sure what's the significance of the cat and even if it has any symbolism, but you could see sati lying on the ground and all those symbols running over her... and what is the deal with candy? this last time seemed like it was just a joke "i still have candy..." heh |

Well, after the total and absolute horror I experienced when watching the second part of the trilogy, nothing could surprise me, so I can't say this part was that bad. Meaningless, yes, but compared to the utmost boredom of the second part, I must say this one is a bit refreshing, although some things are rediculous, and the fight between Neo and Smith at the end looked like a fight between 2 flies.
Btw, did anyone notice the similarity between blindfolded Neo and the Demon Hunter from Warcraft 3? :) |

astroboy,
Your comments about Neo being evil and such would be logical but, if you know the story of the matrix and how the Matrix was created in the first place then you'll understand that that cannot be possible.
I am very understanding of the whole serries and pre matrix so Im going to make this short and simple and put it in our timeframe. Think of it as if the start of the matrix were supposed to happen 200 years or so from now.
In pre matrix it was just like we are now. Normal and not connected into the matrix and ect. Later when we get more advanced with technology (robots and ect), we are supposed to build these machines (robots) to do our work for us, kinda as "slaves". Doing work such as construction, housework, ect. Also using the new technology for new cars, planes, and ect. The sentinals before they turned into the war machines were built as automobiles for humans (automobiles with a mind of there own) so thats why there are so many in the first place. I dont know if you all knew that but in the animatrix it tells you about that as well so watch it.
Anyways, the machines were built such as us. They were built extreamly smart and to have a mind of there own so that they could function in the world. The thing that made the matrix happen is that every living organism and every species has a trait of survival for there race. Such as us humans do.
Some of the machines (I guess you can say defects) start to branch out and attack there masters. Murders start hapening within households and people start getting hurt by these machines. So congress puts the machines on trial that commited the the crimes, they are found guilty, seing how dangerous and controlling these machines are, congress rules the immediate destruction of all machines.
So then People start killing all machines in site, plenty of machines are destroyed. So the leader of the machines (kind of like the president of the machines) go to congress and asks for peace so that they can save there race with out war. The humans deny to help them, so right then is when they declare war and self detonate themselves inside congress. Thats when the war starts.
All machines that exist are then reconstructed into war machines (the automobiles, planes, ect). Then they go to war and kill about 50% of humans in the first couple of days. Humans think they can cut off the machines source of energy by covering the sky (thats why the real world outside of the matrix is so dark) but the machines find another source of energy. The humans. So all humans are killed except for the few that go underground into zion and create there race under there.
While that happends, the machines create there source of energy, building the fields and growing humans for energy. Thus why there created to the matrix so they have absolute control over every human. I cant go into explaning why zion wasnt destroyed first off because it will be so long and i dont think you all want to read anymore =p.
Anyways, that explains it. Neo isnt the "devil". He is simply trying to take back what was theres in the first place, and trying to free those who dont know whats going on.
