ya know... i have a funny feeling that this Mets season isn't gonna turn out the way everyone thinks...
but then again we are the mets...
but regardless, the next 2 years look AWESOME for us. Kazmir, Peterson, Keppel (i would label them Generation KČ. but that would mmost likely jinx them like the original Generation K) if just one of them pans out for us, we will be DAMN lucky. i mean, Kazmir's SO's per nine innings was 11.5 :eyespop: :eyespop: then we'll have Wright at 3rd. hopefully Victor Diaz or Lastings Milledge in the outfield. then, we just bolster with some FA signings, and voila. the mets are good! god, i am so excited about peterson, kazmir and wright. wright is MURDERING the ball in double A and will likely be bumped up to triple A sometime this season. we'll see him at Shea in september. sorry wigginton, i like ya, but i like wright better! |

anyway, here's some RIDICULOUS stats so far for Peterson and Wright
Kazmir pulled his abdominal muscle and his first start is schedueled for Sunday
Peterson: 10 IP, 2.70 ERA, 13 K's, 1 BB <<< :eyespop: :crazy: :eyespop:
Wright: 29 ABs, .414 avg, .500 obp, .793 slug, 8 2b, 1 hr, 6 rbi
the thing that excites me most about wright is that a) he walks ALOT and b) he hits MASSIVE amounts of doubles, which translate much better into the Major's than homeruns do. (ie: Vladimir Guererro hit only 5 home runs in 137 ab's his last season in the minors. us Met fans know how he turned out...) |

altho..speaking of baseball (yanks fan here) anyone read Giambi's interview in Maxim this month? I can barely believe it's real...
cubie..i wanna hear your productions! and yo, are we having PPR global gathering for summerstage? i just re-did my apt and want some visitors! so ppr crew is invited and i have a guest bedroom now! yay.
anyway, it's gorgeous now and im going to do some more bday celebrating. love to all!!
