Sorry, but I have to disagree with you. I consider myself a responsible person, and when I know that I am drunk out at the bar, I have been responsible enough to have someone else drive me home. Just because there are a lot of idiots out there who cannot be responsible for themselves, doesn't mean that applies to everyone. If he believes he knows when hes drunk and shouldn't drive, then I'll take his word for it, because I have been in that situation myself many times. And I do what is right. Who are you to sit in judgement? We don't even know this person personally. |

I just can't see how you can justify this. The fact is that any amount of alcohol affects your judgment and coordination. What exactly does it mean to be drunk? Why does one have to wait until they are drunk before they act respsonibly? Why can't one do the safe, and responsible thing before it gets to that point? I don't care what people say about how sober they think they feel when they are driving, because all I know is how unsafe I feel being on the road with other drivers who have been drinking. |

Oh yeah this one was sooo sweet. My parents wake me up to drive my mothers car to the dealership to get the air vent fixed. As I get on the highway the "low fuel" message comes on and the needles is way past the "E." So I exit and as I pull into the gas station there is a cop waiting for me. He directs me to the parking lot with 5 other people waiting. I'm looking around like "wtf is diss picture you know? Did you go on a roller coaster, DID YOU LEAVE THE TRUCK!?!?" So he comes up to my window and says, "sir do you know why I pulled you over." So obviously I had no idea and he proceeds to tell me that I crossed the double white lines. So I just started laughing at him like this was a freaking joke. I point to my gas gauge and showed him I was past empty and that I needed to exit to get off the service road. Now would you rather me exit the service road looking for a gas station then run out to have cars fly by me at 60mph...or let me exit for an emergency to get safely out of the way. So he stood there for about 2 mins filling out the ticket and proceeds to tell me that it was my decision to take the car with no gas. I was like d00d, my parents woke me up to take my mom's car to get fixed for her b-day. I live around here, there is no other gas station in this town besides this one. Then he looks at me and goes, "that's what everyone says." So he ended up pulling me out of the car because I wanted to see the "sign" and also I wanted him to show me a map of another gas station close by that I "could've made it to."
Well to make a long story short, it was a black cop so I couldn't use the race card. He ended up being pretty cool towards the end. The ticket is 185 dollars, so I'm just gonna cruise into court, pay the fine and leave. I get home and my mother is crying with her, "I should've told you that the car had no gas I'm sooo sorry." PUWHAHAHAHA oh I love my mother! :stongue: :haha:
But I will never get one for speeding ever again :wtf: ;) :) |
