you really know how to get me started, don't you? :toothless

well... 1 thing is for sure. the rangers pitching SUCKS. and there's no way that they will get on top of oakland or the angels this year. but their offense is a completely different story from their pitching. the rangers have *THE* best infield in the major leagues, all things considered. the oldest starting infielder is 28 (soriano) and he hit almost 40 homers the past two years. don't be surprised to see him with more homeruns than arod this year (i predict he breaks the 50 mark). add michael young (who i could see hitting 20 homers this year), hank blalock (30 homers this year) and mark teixeira (also 30 homers this year) and they are the best hitting infield in the majors. plus the fact that i stated earlier than all of them are under 28... i'd take that infield in a heartbeat. add laynce nix in the outfield (another great prospect) who can likely give you 30 homers (already has 5) this year, which will be his first full year. add two veterans on in the corner outfield spots (which they have once brian jordan and rusty greer get back) and they are, in theory, one of the most potent lineups in the majors. but it all boils down to pitching. i'm not really sure, but its most likely that they have a few pitching prospects in the minors. they signed blalock to an extension and if they can re-sign 2 of the other 3 infielders (its likely sori will ask for way more than he's worth) then they CAN be contenders in 2006. :wtf: sorry you asked?
