i really thought the cubs had it HANDS down this year. but...
a) Maddux is SUCKING... badly.
b) there's a strong possibility that Prior is out for the entire season.
with just wood and zambrano, they still have an incredible pitching staff. but compare that with Houston (Oswalt, Miller, and yout precioussssss Pettite, and Clemens [who, despite my hatred of him, i think will be the cy young winner this year in the nl. simply because 95% of the nl have never faced him]). houston def has the edge in rotation. as for the wildcard, you have to be RETARDED to think that the yankees or the redsox will not get the wildcard. unless the yankees continue playing the way they are now (which they won't). i mean... who's gonna win the wildcard? the white sox? the mariners? please...
AL EAST - RED SOX
AL CENTRAL - ROYALS
AL WEST - ANGELS
AL WILDCARD - YANKEES
NL EAST - BRAVES
NL CENTRAL - ASTROS/CUBS (if maddux goes back to himself and prior gets healthy)
NL WEST - GIANTS (who cares really?)
NL WILDCARD - CUBS/ASTROS (if maddux pulls a 2003 tom glavine and prior is out for the season)

Shamez, you misunderstood what I wrote. I said that the Yankees are either going to get eliminated in the Wild Card (which means they are in ;)) or they will win the WS.
As for the AL Central I think it will be a toss up between the Royals [prob the fav.], White Sox, and Twins.
