This isn't about my opinion, it's about cold, hard evidence, which the bible is fully lacking in. |

Yes, I being an internet bully. Seriously though, if nothing "looked convincing enough for u" then you were obviously reading with severe confirmation bias and need to educate yourself on the basics of common sense.
That is all. |

| You can teach a child to believe anything at an early age. Santa Clause, the Easter Bunny, etc. But if the child continues to believe when he or she is an adult, it is considered a neurological disorder. Its a shame that after 2000 years, only five percent of this planet is getting over their neurologiccal disorders. |

| well said, but its good to note that 70% of the people in this thread arn't suffering from this collective neurosis |

As were Heinz tactics in the 'debate'. He repeatedly assured is that we were all going to hell to burn in hideous pain for all eternity, then had the decency to post a smiley face afterwards, presumably to make us feel better. :p
He ignored most posts that disagreed with his point of view, and when he did answer, he snipped out most of the main points that the other person made, responding to one or two inconsequential arguments with circular reasoning (the bible is true because the bible says so) or other common fallacious arguments.
I'm not throwing unfounded accusations around here, I believe that Heinz did exactly what I said he did. If you're going to make an attempt at apologetics, then at least have the decency to stop using arguments from ignorance, employing circular reasoning and so on, or if you inadvertently use them, then at least acknowledge it when someone points out your error. Instead of going down the 'you're all going to burn in hell you dirty immoral atheists & agnostics!' road, how about making an honest attempt to rationally argue and/or discuss the issue at hand. When people copy paste endless amounts of bible verses, use the same flawed arguments over and over again, even when confronted with evidence that their post contains multiple logical fallacies, and assert that everyone who doesn't share your viewpoint is going to burn in hell, obviously they're going to piss others off. |

| Heh, kinda late to post, but the movie finally arrived here (ok, so we're 2 months behind the rest of the civilized world, could be worse), and I must say that IT'S A TOTAL PIECE OF CRAP!!!! I mean, what the hell was that supposed to be? 3 hours of continuous watching of Jesus getting whipped and beaten??? How retarded can you get? Ok, he got whipped and beaten, I get the point, 5 minutes should be quite sufficient for anyone to get the picture. I almost fell asleep while watching that idiocity. |

haha 2 months behind, fortunately you wouldnt have missed much if you didnt see the movie. I saw the movie and was horrified and disgusted. The movie is pure bullshiit. The execution was way exagerated and it would have been better to focus the movie around other aspects of the bible. i wouldnt really know, but at least make a movie with a plot or something.
for movie, i would compare watching this movie to watching the Matrix Revolutions. If you havent seen the matrix 1 or 2, you would have no ing clue whats going on. The only difference is that the matrix is way better.
btw, watch the latest southpark episode, its about the "passion" |

Random-ish question coming up.
Are you familiar with the concept of the burden of proof? |
