I actually implied earlier in this thread that Inter probably shoudve sold Vieri at the begining of the season,the vibes i was seeing from this guy goin into the season was not good.The fact that Mancini said that Vieri probably will not start made me think,then why is he still here?Dont get me wrong he was a great player but he just dosnt seem to have it anymore.Maybe a fresh start somewhere else would help him?His money would help Inter get that Defender we miss since Fabio left. |
I think Cruz is alright. Not worldclass, but great as a fourth striker. He did really well at Bologna, but Im not convinced by his Inter performances either.
Vieri is one of the worlds best strikers of the last ten years. But his attitude and his obsession with himself can be very damaging for the club. Its alright I guess if he would be at a smaller club where he would be the only star, but when there is competition about the places I dont think he will be very easy to handle and could disrupt the harmony that is so neccessary for a champion side.
Last year during a Euro qualifier he got substituted when Italy was ahead and was so mad that he threw a watter bottle at Trap (which almost hit him).
But his speach during the European championship at the press conference when he condemned all the Italian journalists was the funniest I ever saw. "I can look myself in the mirror, you can't!" :stongue:
By the way I live in MIlan since a year back, but I have only been to Milan games so far. I will go to an Inter game soon though. A derby would be the bomb, but its impossible to find tickets without paying silly money.

Del Piero never really came back to his form before his injury, but come on man. All of those are or have been world class players (yes even Inzaghi). Eventhough all of them have big egos, you can still enjoy good football. |
