WHY do you 2 like him? All the other options including a 50% Recoba are better did Cruz ting on everyone in place of Oba last year not prove anything to you |

Good luck few supersticous concerns number 1 being that he has never had a bad injury yet....and all our players who move to the EPL suck as of late (Emre, Soronodo, van der Meyde). |
Most Newcastle fans are happy with Emre. The only problem has been his injuries. Every player who comes to Newcastle gets injuries, it's one of those facts of life, and is the main reason why we haven't won a domestic trophy since 1955. Luque got the worst injury of his career a week after joining Newcastle, he only started 6 games in his first season. Owen broke his foot 10 games into his season and missed 5 months. He came back to play 2 games and then twisted his knee, meaning he misses another 12 months. It may well be that his career is over, some are saying that Martins is his replacement. Dyer played every game of the season for Ipswich, he came to Newcastle and has suffered injury after injury ever since. Taylor came through the academy and in his first season as a first teamer he was out for 5 months. Bellamy was fine before he came to Newcastle, then missed loads of every season. Now he has left us he is fine again. I would mention Woodgate but we actually made a profit off him. Every year we top the Premier League injury table, last season we couldn't even fill our subs bench (and you're only allowed 5 substitutes in England). We already have the most injuries in the Premiership one week in. So I think we're ready ;)
Martins makes his debut against Aston Villa on Sunday. He had this to say today:
"I am very, very happy to be here.
"It is my dream come true to get the chance to play in the Premiership.
"I am really happy, and I would like to thank the chairman and the manager for making this possible.
"They wanted me to come to Newcastle, and I am delighted to be playing here.
"This is the first time I have been to the stadium, and I am very impressed. It is beautiful, very impressive. I have heard about the great fans at this club, and I am looking forward to playing for them.
"I will say that they will see a lot from me. Not just goals, but they will see me helping the team as well.
"I know Emre from his time in Milan, and also Celestine Babayaro. I haven't spoken to them recently, but I know they both say great things about this club and I am looking forward to seeing them."

I dont think its Newcastle's injuries its Emre's fragile frame....Emre can be one of the best midfielders or could've been but his constant injuries (he has had torn this/that broken legs, hamstring pulls you name it at Inter) has ruined his potential.
Also can you find out Martins real age it has always been the mystery here at Inter :) |

I'm happy that Martins is finally in a league where his attributes will be put to the test. He was languishing in a Seria-A where pace isn't coveted. Besides, that Mancini character seems to love fat, lazy c-unts leading his front line. I was suprised why he was still holding onto Martins in the first place.
With the capture of pacy Nigerian Newcastle are in much better shape to mount a challenge for that final champions league spot. It'll be tough, given the strength of teams like Spurs and Arsenal, but I think getting Martins is the right man for the job.
He brings pace to an attack, and this will strech opposing team out, which in turn will create more room for toon midfielders. The only thing that worries me is his lack of height, though from what i've seen he's pretty decent in the air for a small man. If he works on his sharpness in front of goal I can see him becoming a real toon legend.
Now all the barcodes have to get is a good centrel defender, and a decent left fullback. I think Bridge is probably a good bet for the latter. |

Ok enough Newcastle talk.
Mancini announced his squad for the Suppercoppa.
Toldo
Zanetti - Samuel - Materazzi - Grosso
Stankovic - Cambiasso - Vieira - Figo
Adriano - Ibrahimovic
Im guessing. Wonder what Mancino prefers in the striker partnership... |

| Inter to win this, and Zlatan to get his ass kicked by Roma-defenders. I hate Totti, can someone do me a favour and kick his ass.. |
