Tiësto performing at the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Games, Athens 2004.
This evening on Dutch television the Greek artistic director of the openings ceremony (Dimitris Papaioannou) confirmed that they were very proud to have Tiësto as a part of their official opening of the Olympic Games of Athens 2004 on Friday August 13, 2004. He is going to spin his music live during the parade of athletes. During this parade all participating nations introduce their athletes.

tickets are selling very well, dont listen to the propoganada bull that is going around. Prime example, Athens will not be ready for the Olympics, and today we have te president of the IOC Jacques Rogge saying, I take everything back Athens is more than ready and it will be wonderfull 2 weeks

For 6 years Tiesto was a little resident in a small club in his home town.
Then for 3 years he was probably the #1 DJ in the world(i'm talking about 1998-2000 years here), yet nobody gave a .
I think now, he deserves what he's getting.
