Here we go again, I've had to sit down and tell countless Chubby Trolls this season the following:

At present we have the lowest team ERA in the entire MLB (3.68). Now taking into account that we have possibly the best middle relief in baseball our starting rotation (which has 4 with 15 or more wins) is still in the top few starting rotations in baseball. The Cubs who do have a better starting rotation (not disputing that one) have pretty much zero bull pen to call upon and an offense that blows hot and cold. The A's have a great pitching staff but have won jack in the post season, the Yankees pitching is the poorest it has been in a while.

All year long we've heard our starting rotation isn't good enough, yet they have always produced. Couple that with arguably the best defensive infield in baseball in a long time and an offense that can destroy teams and I'd say the cards are looking good!

Hope the Red Sox can make it but I can't see past a Cards Yankees WS with the Cards taking it in 6.

The Red Sox of course! :D

All depends on their inconsistent pitching. Pedro can't seem to beat the Yankee's, Lowe hasn't looked good for two years now, and Foulke likes to blow leads.

All legends need to win a World Series before they retire. Don't even ask who I'm referring to...

First of all, what an AMAZING finish to the regular season ... Who would've thought that Dodgers would come back from being down 3-0 in the bottow of the 9th to win 7-3 on a GRAND SLAM??!! Or Angels completing great comeback in winning their division after Oakland has the division in hand for over 50 days by defeating A's IN THEIR BALLPARK. Or not even mentioning the amazing irony at the fact that in last year's playoffs, Cubbies upset the mighty Braves, but this season those same Braves, weaker than last year's team, eliminated Cubbies from post-season contention by taking 2 of 3 at Wrigley Field. Gotta love those statistics...

Thats why I adjusted my predictions a bit, and updated my whole first post.

Cheers

and good luck to all the teams that we are all cheering on, looks like its gonna be a great postseason this year, and I think there will be fewer upsets this october than the past 3 ...

I'm giving it up for the my hometown with the Stro's. You gotta admit, that was a hell of a comeback this season. Now, starting with Atlanta, they have Clemens for game ONE, and Oswalt for Game Two. It's gonna be a great series. And Atlanta has always been the Astro's weak point in the playoffs. Not to mention, Houston swept the Card's their last meeting. I think this might be the year for the Astros. I've gained a little more faith in them after their efforts in September. Let's hope they don't break Houston's heart AGAIN.
