i will, there is no possible way i will lose. i would never have placed such a wager unless you mentioned about your age. the exposure to music you will have had in 15 years is simply not enough to create a completly original in every sense trance piece. i come from a diverse musical background and wouldn't dare to make such a claim.
let's put it this way, i'm waiting with 'baited breath' to hear the end result. ill even send my virus your way if u do it, not that you need it...

Jesus, u at it in here now?
bad enough with all the crap u used to post in the tranceairwaves irc channel.
I don't belive a single word you type, you have more than shown your ignorance of trance with the posts you have made in this thread, i suggest you shut up, think about what you are saying and realise that you talk utter e.

Producing is Boring...especially trance
Now, If I had a nice jazz band with some nice sax players and good trumpets, thats the kind of stuff that gives me goosebumps listening to :D
I don't think producing music fully on a computer is good enough to call your self a "musician" if thats all you make it on...if you actually do play instruments and use certian *real* instruments for making a song then I'd say youc an call yourself a musician
I play trumpet myself :D |
producing trance is boring? well i can't wait till you show us your 'OMG' track, cause if i remember correctly i remember you made a 'remix' of three drives - greece 2000 which really wasn't 'OMG' and wasn't nearly professinal. I'm really curious if your skills have REALLY REALLY improved in such a short period. i'll bow down before you if you make a track as good as you describe it. |

Am kinda lost.
What is it that you don't like Ken? ASOT? or Trance?
If Trance, what are you doing on Tranceaddict?
If ASOT, Mr Mystery is your best friend! :p
No seriously, i don't get it, you claim that producing with a computer is only copy and pasting. BUt tell me, how am i suppose to sequence my things?? ( I assume you know how to produce )
Even if you have live instruments, you have to arrange them eventually. And Copy and paste can safe allot of work you know.
Everyone have their opnions, but you make it sound like your right and the rest is wrong.
Some people like a simple Arp on an offbeat bass, and some like more complex things...who are you to tell us what is boring and what is not?
I don't think your a dumb guy, but you should try to be more constructive. |

Oh and producing trance isn't easy... especially knowing the fact that it all sounds the same.. it's even more of a challenge that way.. |

I've read through these posts...what a game...
guys...TRANCE doesn't really EVOLVE...I mean what music does? It doesnt change...it just keeps movin on and growing, and those who make it come and go.
What got you into it? I'm 31 (ouch) and for the last 15 years, nothing has MOVED me so passionately as trance production. This is fairly new to me but in everyone's life there is a defining moment where you "hear" what you want to "do" with your life....
Mine came 13 months ago. I don't even know what song it was but I heard something that made me go, "yup..I want to make a hook like that".
This isn't about reinventing the proverbial wheel or redefining the genre. Thats just BS.
Its ALWAYS about striving for that next great "hook"...its about the rush you get when you polish up the final bit of mastering and play it back for the 200th time...and still think it's your best work!
Its an addiction.
Because NO two songs are alike...even if they are 4/4. And there's always someone who does something fabulous in a given week/month/year to make you all say, "yup..thats what I wanna DO!":happy2: |

dude! that must be the most true explanation of how it realy works (at least for me too).
It's like a drug, you just can't lay it down untill you find that next amazing hook or that next amazing leadsound/bassline/breakdown/buildup/kicksound/[insert whatever you want here]
tranceproduction can truly be like a drug if youre really into it, always a search for that next kick |
