| not really i post quite alot of usfull information just this thread is so ing stupid and most of the time you spend are in these really dumbass threads. which i hardly take part in and in turn all you see is my smart ass remarks to this idiotic threads..... envio is horse i could care less same with airbase just its funny .... and yes theres more money in that will be played on european radio more. this lading to mroe sales. |

to be honest i blame the rise of these so called super djs for the downfall of the trance industry. when the likes of these djs became big in 98 99 they only wanted tracks that where 8mins long with lots of beats and easy to mix. i'm listening to trance since 92,93 and i can tell you back then it was about the music and expression of ones self. no two records sounded alike and it was more about selling compilations rather than vinyls. my advice to you would be to try get your hands on a dance compilation series called dream dance. dream dance 9 is a good example, they even promote it on the homepage of this site. every track is professionally made and is full of creativity and imagination and contains nothing that someone could throw together in half an hour in reason.
these were serious professional producers and record labels who understand everything there is to know about a genre.
not been bad but a 19year at home on his computer with his cheap music program would never be able to compete with these guys.
all that has kinda died due to the rise of armins and tiestos, listen to a show of asot then listen to that dream dance 9 cd and tell me i'm wrong. try make a track you hear on asot you might come pretty close then try make a track of the compilation nostrum brilliant is a good example or kai tracid dance for eternity. variety is the spice of life is'nt that what they say. record labels now dont allow for this type of freedom which i think is a huge shame.
dont get me wrong, i still love todays trance and will continue to try get better at it but i think for the genre to get back to the good days it needs to become a genre for the listener rather than the djs and that doesnt have to mean commercial either. |

again you've proven yourself to know jack about the music industry.
today the artists doesn't get much for selling records. The only way can can get close to making a living on it is if youre a semibig artist in the pop or rock genre.
house, trance, techno, euro, DnB, [insert your favourite non pop/rock genre here] doesn't make money for the artists as it is today. |

All you ever do is argue about things and piss people off with your stupidass comments that arent neccessary. People can't even express there own opinions in this forum. People post useful & you turn around and give them a bunch of bashing back. Thats all I see in every single thread. So what if you think another producer is better than another, another dj is better than another. THAT IS YOUR OWN OPINION.

Anyways, your arguments thus far have been poorly thought out. Saying that a producer is not a musician is ridiculous and 9 out of 10 dentists agree. |

how can you seriously say such a thing when you've been the one starting the fights?
Another thing that I don't get is why you even come to theese boards if your'e not into trance (well I got that impression anyway). Now don't take that wrong. I don't mind none-trance people coming here and posting, not at all. But when people start bitchin around and basicly tries to pick an "online fight" it takes down the level of theese forums to a new bottom level. |

I think you don't know anything about producing.
secondly you must be insane, thinking you can just come in a production forum, where people are spending hours trying to make new sounds and melodies, and just pop in and say : "hey people, making trance is easy".
Now i would like (and i guess i'm not the only one) an admin to ban Ken_Allen who has been insulting the whole production forum in the last few days. |
