Well just read the news that Priest Holmes will be retiring as early as thursday.Shame to see his career end like this....solid guy,great player & fantasy football god
edit: seems the article i read has been debunked by chiefs organization about his retirement,priest going for 4th opinion on lump in back though |

yeah sucks about Priest, has had some hall of fame seasons but really not enough to actually get in the hall. |

Its the whole Terrell Davis thing,few good seasons but not a long enough career to validate entry into the hall |

same goes for marshall faulk .. looks like his career is coming to a close soon, which is sad, because he's only 32.
will 12000 rushing yards, 750 catches and 136 tds get him into the hall of fame ? probably so . just to note .. he's top 20 in rushing and receiving stats .. that's good ...
priest's career stats :
8035 rushing yards
2945 receiving yards
94 touchdowns
probably not ...
but looking at the top 20 rushers all-time, here is some shocking information :
corey dillon now has over 10,000 career rushing yards .. not really shocking, since he practically carried the bengals during the late 90s ... but that's impressive ..
garrison hearst has 7966 rushing yards .. :wtf: ... 3 or 4 more seasons, and he's a sure hall of fame guy ..
curtis martin and jerome bettis are 2000 yards away from barry sanders .. if only barry wanted to go a couple of more years .. damn detroit .. :whip:
barry sanders career was just remarkable .. did you know he averaged 1500 yards / game rushing, and reached 99 rushing touchdowns in 10 years ? priest holmes is almost up to that average with 86 tds in 9 years .. astounding ... |
