sooner or later that viking magic was going to go out.

:haha:

and da bears book a first round bye.

i didnt know this until now ..

but if they didn't lose the heartbreaker to the giants and let the chiefs win back then, the broncos would be 14-1 right now (loss in first game of season when miami smacked them silly 34-10) .

this is something interesting getting into the playoffs. then again their schedule looks a bit easier than the rest, they certainly had a stronger schedule than the colts.

I see all this talk of the Colts and even if they didnt have their head coach and played under sad circumstances Seattle walked all over them yesterday and have just as good a record.

The Colts had nothing to play for in that game as they no longer had a perfect record to fight for and had already clinched a first round bye. They didn't play their stars, Manning, Harrison etc...

I'm not saying Seattle is bad but you can't say that they are better than the Colts just b/c of last week.

Wild-card matchups
AFC
Pittsburgh Steelers at Cincinnati Bengals
Jacksonville Jaguars at New England Patriots
First-round byes: Indianapolis Colts, Denver Broncos
NFC
Washington Redskins at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Carolina Panthers at New York Giants
First-round byes: Seattle Seahawks, Chicago Bears
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Giants would get a good draw against Carolina who is struggling
Bengals Vs. Steelers being the game to watch that weekend

how does it show weakness? they are simply benching their good players to ensure that they are healthy for the playoffs. The Eagles did it for the final three games of last season and then slaughtered teams in the playoffs.

Granted Indy lost to San Diego before they started playing all their backups, but they did bench a few key starters on defense in that game, and theres no question they would have won the game if they were playing. Indy is only the second team in the NFL to go 13-0, while countless teams have had only two losses.

Seattle is a great team, but its nothing speical. They've had an extremely easy record this season and (not counting the colts) have played only 5 teams with winning records, and they lost two of those. So they only have 3 wins against teams with winning records, and one of those games was a fluke game against the Giants which they should have lost. So really only two. You simply can't say they are better than the Colts at this point.

Washington should be a force to be reckoned with this coming weekend (and during the playoffs if they make it). The Redskins have given losses to the top two NFC seeds, Chicago and Seattle.

Bouncing back from three incredibly close losses (all in the fourth quarter of the game) against San Diego, Tampa Bay and Oakland, the 'Skins have shown true potential by winning their last 4 games by dominating in offense and only allowing 1 fourth-quarter touchdown.

I predict (and hope for) a post-season appearance by the Redskins, the first one since 1999.

I hope Washington and Dallas win and Atlanta punks out Carolina. The Panthers are and have been the most overrated team for years now! Show how much you suck and MISS the playoffs already!!
