Quarterback Daunte Culpepper and the Vikings' second-round draft pick to Dennis Green's Cardinals for Arizona's No. 10 overall pick and safety Adrian Wilson. The Vikings could also package controversial cornerback Fred Smoot with Culpepper in a deal, allowing them to re-sign free agent cornerback Brian Williams.

Umm i can't see the Cardinals dealing for Culpepper..i know he is Denny greens boy but i think it is more than the randy moss exit that bothered his game, could be losing scott linehan as o-coordinator really hurt his game.Adrian Wilson would be a great pick up for the viking..he would bring that enforcer at the safety position that they haven't had since robert griffith left.

Steelers going to the big game!
wow, quite a performance against the Broncos, on the way to being the first #6 seed in the Super Bowl, and first team to beat the 1,2,and 3 seeds

so the steelers have made it to the super bowl.

what is so special about the steelers that pushed them to the playoffs ? they beat 3 solid teams (bengals, colts, broncos) fair and square. amazing how many pronounced them dead, and predicted wouldn't last long , after losing to the ravens, colts, and bengals back to back to back. kudos to of course bill cowher for beefing up his team for the playoffs.

but if someone had to pick the key ingredient in the steelers team that keeps them going positive, i think it's b roth. he plays well, the whole team plays well. that's probably pretty obvious, but the steelers defense also looks pretty good too with farrior, van oleuffen, porter, and polamalu. this super bowl could be interesting.

my prediction of hawks panthers : panthers win. 22-16.

I have to agree with Rothlisberger as well. There are several teams with a good defense and an above average running game in the league, but when you have a quarterback who's a high percentage passer like Rothlisberger, your whole team can really rise to another level. Having him on the team means 17 points won't get it done against Pittsburgh most of the time, unlike for instance Chicago.

I like the Panthers as well, even without Foster and Davis. I think Seattle will take Goings a little lightly, and he could really bring some yards to the table. He's not as exciting as the first two backs, but he gets the job done. The defense shouldn't give up more than 16 if they want to win :)

Criteria #1 (Goings): thrown out the window. he got shmackled by tomalalu , and i don't think he's going to return.
Criteria #2 (defense < 16 points ) : thrown out the window. delhomme's 2 int's didn't help the case either.
Criteria #3 (an act of god) : priceless.
Criteria #4 (a big game from drew carter, since steve smith is going to get raped.) : see above.

I cant believe they gave up 17 points so quick. Delhomme put this game in trouble, and with Goings out, hes almost going to have to single-handedly put them back in it. I can't believe the shot Goings took, he just went limp, lost the ball...looked bad. Smith is still there for catches, but they should try to work some short screens or quick outs with the tight ends to loosen him up for a big one.

What's with the panthers and injured running back? This isn't the first year theyve had problems. Even the year they went to the Super Bowl, I think they did it without their starter.

ditto.
every year, it seems foster and davis goes down, because of an injury. we all know about davis's weak knees, and may force him in to early retirement. but foster seems to be very injury prone. he is a very good running back, but he needs to get this injury bug off his shoulders.

act of god happened for the carolina panthers earlier today. ed hochuli was appointed referee of this game. :wtf:

I think it's safe to say we are going to the superbowl. And anybody who doubted seattle, shame on you
