i agree . not fair to jags fans for travelling all the way to chilly foxboro . at least it would have been bettera against cincy or pitt, or at least book them a day game, so they don't have to play in night arctic temperatures. |

i say steelers over the paper tigers b/c Big Ben is healthy this time, and they aren't going to turn it over like they did before. Plus they're a team of veterans, while this is Palmers first playoffs.
I also say panthers over giants, but thats a lot shakier... as much as I'd love to see two turnaround NFC East teams make it to the second round, I don't see Eli bouncing out of his slump in his first playoff game.
and I know I had the Pats losing next week, and they probably will away from home... but I would LOVE to see them in a game against INDY in the AFC championship, just because it would be an historic and awesome event in the history of football.:p and I'd be rooting for the Pats all the way. |

true true .
i used to be a bad sport everytime the officials were against the saints ( some of the time , it really did show the officials were against the saints ), but i found out that the saints just plainly suck, getting themselves into the predictament of blaming the officials ...
i am not saying the bucs suck .. i think they have a bright future with galloway, clayton, williams, pittman, and simms / griese . and the bucs defense really did an awesome job on brunell (75 yards passing).
but the BIG backbreaker for this game was the 1st quarter . when the bucs look back at game tapes, they will see that the 1st quarter was the time when they really kicked themselves in the ass, and dug themselves in a hole they couldn't get out of . come on ... you throw an interception, sending the skins to their own 5, and then the next possession, fumble the ball, and let the skins run it back ... that's not a good way to start off a game . |

herm edwards "jets" to the chiefs ..
:stongue: .. had to do that .
but i think no matter how much jets fans are going to gripe and complain how much of a bad coach he was the past couple of years, and his misuse of "clock management" , i think the chiefs are going to be a strong contender next year , because kc's defense looked set last year, but we all know vermeil doesn't know about defense .. hahaha .. |

well I think me and vern are the only jet fans here so Ill sum up my view to this:
Herm is a great coach but Im still kinda unsure about his abilites at certain things. If you listen to the biggest Jet fan Joe Benigno on the WFAN in the morning he used to always say why should we reward Herm? What has he done he hasnt taken us to any AFC Championships Super Bowls etc...Although I belive he will go on to do great things I really couldnt see at this point him turning this team around next year so he would've eventually been fired then.
Now onto his replacement rumour is they want an experienced head coach. I dsiagree I also think that Donnie Henderson. He has already interviewed with the Saints and I think he is going to go on to do big things as well. Why pay big money for Sherman(who got the shaft up in Green Bay) lets give Donnie a chance.
Looking forward to a good day of football now kinda unsure why I picked the Giants in my pool...eh |
