Larry Johnson should be the starter next season in KC: yesterday, 211 RushYards & 2 TDs. |
could, depending on what kind of condition priest is next year . chiefs should not take their chances with priest, and try to book larry johnson long term. he isn't a priest holmes ( priest is sick .. he can rush and receive .. ), but he runs just as hard as priest ..
give me a call when larry johnson starts working on his pass receiving skills ..
then again, the chiefs offensive line could make maurice clarett the best running back in the world right now .. hehehe .. |

Out of curiosity which wide receiver currently playing would you most want if you were starting a franchise?
Was in an argument yesterday at the sports bar during the Bucs game with a guy who was saying torry Holt was the Best WR in the league,i just don't agree with that at all Torry is a nice player and decent posession receiver but i don't see him as a game changer.
I would have to take a Marvin Harrison as my pick |

a close tie.
either larry fitzgerald or hines ward.
ward is not noted as one of the best, but he's a winner. he helps the team by making the catches, and throws the cleanest blocks for the runnings backs.
fitzgerald, because he has a bright future ahead of him, in my opinion. he has the height and speed advantage, and has randy moss athletic abilities sans the frequent spots of lackadasical behavior on the football field. in 3 yto 5 years, he will be noted as the best wide receiver out of all the receivers in the league. |

| Michael Irvin on the Dan Patrick show today kept referring to Randy moss as the second coming of Alvin Harper due to neither of them being able to run a route |

yeah I heard that, Irvin is such an ass... LORD forbid there be a good WR in the NFL. Wouldn't want to dare compare any WR to his abilities...
I think I'd start a franchise with Marvin... guy plays with injuries, doesn't complain, eats junk food, he does it all! |

when it comes to "post" pattern, randy moss is the best at that out of all the wide receivers . just my opinion.
when it comes to "slant" pattern, nobody does it better than joe horn. he knows how to use his body to get it away from his defender.
michael irvin is just jealous of alvin harper, because harper took away irvin's deep balls . irvin doesn't want to be known as a "possession receiver", which he is known for right now . |

I woudve thought youd choose T.O since youve been kissin his ass so much lately...
Personally Id go the Fitzgerald route, young guy witha bright future, and suprise suprise Id also look in Plaxico, yeah I know wtf but he has really impressed me this year. |

Marvin is too old to start a franchise. I'll take Chad Johnson. Larry Fitzgerald is up there though for sure, he's a stud. Maybe #2. I'm looking at future gains. Hells no on Moss, too inconsistent and quits on his team. Too unpredictable. Most talent yes but he's a bit of a cancer.
Don't knock Torry Holt... just don't. Dude is more than a possession receiver. I believe he has the most receiving yards of any WR in the past 4 years. He just doesn't score quite enough to get the top rank but he's in my top three. But I'm biased of course. |

i don't care if irvin has the UofM connection .. hahahaha ... but he doesn't have any right to talk smack about randy moss .. irvin should thank his lucky stars that he had emmitt smith, jay novacek, charles haley, and darren woodson on his team . ;) ..
and good choice wih plaxico .. people talk about both ward and plaxico's production would decrease, because they don't have each other, but nope .. they're both performing at 100% . |

hahaha ... i could have been biased with joe horn or donte stallworth. however, joe horn is 30+, so he shouldn't be an option.
with donte stallworth, we need to give him some velcro, because that guy needs to learn how to catch. he's a great player, and has a bright future, but he needs to know how to put 2 hands on the ball. hahahahaha .... maybe next year .
but i think people should keep an eye on devery henderson. i think this guy has a bright future ahead of him, and could be the best wide receiver to come out of lsu, surpassing eddie kennison. |
