Youre right. None of them do. But what happens when they try to date? It doesnt matter if they are a stereotype, people are going to know they are gay. Right?

5 out of the 6 most important men in my life are gay, the 6th being my father.

Every one of them has told me its not a choice. Each one has wished at some point in their life that they werent gay. They tried to bargain with themselves, to convince themselves that they could either be straight, or just live alone for the rest of their lives. Each one of them finally came to terms with themselves.

They live all over. One in Michigan, one in Cleveland, two in Chicago, one in Boston, Mass. Its not easy to be gay anywhere in the US. What they have to "take" is a lifetime of people hating them, cursing them, trying to physically HARM them, and for nothing that they could change for themselves.

I cannot stress to you all how much of a choice it is NOT. No one would ever willingly subject themselves to being beaten to a bloody mess. If they think its a choice, they have something wrong with them. They are not gay. They are confused.

Further convinces me that there is some genetic mutation, or some recombination that happens during meiosis and mitosis.

I have a question, are any of the 5 guys related? If they are, is it through the female line?

Well, as far as lesbians are concerned, sometimes you see 2 incredibly attractive females together, and on the other hand you have one relatively attractive female with another female who has male tendencies - the butch chicks - they cut their hair extra short, wear flannel, and have absolutely no sense of style.

or in other words, 'if you're a lesbian why go for a butch?'
because despite being attracted to women, they are also attracted to male traits.

i wouldnt doubt this is to do with nurture much more often than with nature (if not completely).

Actually, they are all from separate families.

My uncle.
My brother (adopted).
My two best guy friends at school.
The boy I grew up with at home.

It is a genetic mutation. Many studies have been done to prove so. Its a shame that the people "in charge" are too narrowminded to explore this research and make it available to the public, to the government, to the Vatican....

yeah, i suppose you can't avoid active hate.

but on the other hand (to a previous arguement of yours), none of my gay friends has ever been subjected to violence, including verbal (ignoring the standard lot of it you get at highschool, regardless of your sexual tendencies).

None of that research is 100%, all their research has its complications and difficulties - most of the stuff is 'pretty good' assumptions.

Im guessing that uncle is from the other side of the family? Do any of those people have gay relatives?

The uncle is on my mom's side. I have a gay cousin (female) and a few other distant gay relatives (2nd cousin or beyond) on that side.
