Ok basicly what I'm saying is that there is an element of chance involved at the single mutation level (the variation within the population). Though obviously in the wider sence it is ordered by natural selection. |

I was under the impression that it went without saying that homosexuality is not something that is happening 'more and more often'. Homosexuality has always been around; It has just become more and more 'exposed' as our TV-minded culture tries to tap something new and exploitable.

So your definition of right or wrong has a direct link to the adherence of function? Tell me, do you use contraception much? At the very basis of things, reproduction is THE point of sex, right? So would it be morally reprehensible to purposefully stunt the effect of the function?

We all know that we need routine stimulation of the libido...the psychology behind the over/under stimulation of such drives is tremendous. This is not a glitch any more than using toilets is a means to aid a very natural urge/function.
As far as evolution is concerned, homosexuality is far from "unnatural". In fact, I can't even think of a good application for the word "unnatural" - it's a term subjective to your personal horizons; A term to exclude any sort of defined normality, which is, honestly, something I can't bring myself to understanding. There are far worse things to worry about than homosexuality. The smart people use contraceptives, which, in itself, is the problem...men on men and women on women is not nearly as large an issue as the fact that stupid people don't wear protection, merely for the fact that they are stupid. I'm totally worried about more stupid people breeding. :nervous: |

Sure, it isn't normal from the basic idea of life... but neither is flying in aeroplanes, travelling into space or having pacemakers put into our bodies.

Care to explain that because I'm having a hard time understanding what your concept of gay is. From what I have known, gay has always been between two men. When it's between two women, it's called lesbian. |
