I'm here at the Bell Center, its friggin packed but the Victor and Max sets are solid solid solid!!!
Tiesto is late because of the rain but it should be crazy when he'll be here because most of them are waiting for him.

I have three things to say about the night:
TIESTO RETARD 6:30
Thanks for showing up at 8:30
AND
Does this look fluorecent yellow to you?

Stupid bouncer still wouldn't let us in!
WHY WRITE SOMETHING AND PASTE IT UP IF YOU'RE NOT GOING TO UPHOLD IT!?
Stupid promoters letting in people without even a bracelet let alone a ticket and blocking off the people that had to go through the trouble getting a bracelet! :whip:
AND LASTLY
So many hotties! :toothless |

I'm glad I got to go though, it was really awesome, shame Tiesto was so late though. Plus I LOST my god damn ing phone, so I didn't get to sell my extra ticket off. Major apologies to whoever it was that called me that wanted to buy it. |

Before people continue to bitch Tiesto for being late.. please remember he was flying from Mid-East USA last night.
Finishing a set in Boston at 2am, before flying over to Montreal.
Having made a similar trip to MTL to see him in 2004, we caught up with Tijs at Washington Dulles Airport, he'd been waiting at the flight gate for NINE HOURS waiting for a plane to take him to MTL.
Boarding what seemed to be a very small 'makeshift' plane to get us there; the weather, the snow; the crap turbulence, made it a very interesting trip.
YES... it was wrong to expect him to play @ 2 venues so far apart on NYE.
NO... you shouldn't really hang your whole night solely on the fact the main draw was late.
Hope you all had fun anyway without a long Tiesto set :D ;) |

Whoa... looks pretty packed in there.. looks like it was fun also.
Was there room to dance? Did anyone pay at the door before 3AM? If so, how much? |

okay, I'm writing this review on 30 mins of sleep so here it is:
Second Sun: did a great opening job for my night, much better than I expected
Franco Fabi: set was methodical house, picked up towards end.
Victor Calderone: star of the night.. my non-TA friends said he was the best too.
Max Graham: He had a critical slot and he delivered big time.. he atoned for his weak performance from a few years back.
Danny Torrence: filled in admirably for Tiesto who started his set at 8:15am instead of the scheduled 5:30 start.
Tiesto: okay, so you can't fault him for being almost three hours late but his set was by far the weakest one of the night, basically ISOS 5 remixed and some of his old signature tracks. He did play some good, dirty tech house/trance tracks on occasion but the ISOS stuff was meh, even remixed. I actually danced to Say Hello :p
The good: nice set up with the big screens; good vocals by Second Sun; good female talent (although women were outnumbered about 3-1); the snowflakes was a good touch, helped you cool off too; ice cold water at the fountains; absolutely dirty, dark chuggy house and tech beats by Graham, Fabi, Calderone and Torrence.
The bad: speakers killed my ears in some areas of the dancefloor; ratio of men to women (see comments above); way too many tickets sold as the dancefloor resembled the Guv all access parties in TO (shame on BeB/GK as you guys promised not to oversell in the Resolution thread .. in fact, it got so bad at one point that security were turning ppl away from entering the already jammed dancefloor during Tiesto's set); Tiesto's mediocre set - I didn't care much for his late arrival as Torrence was on fire and I didn't want that to stop; limited alcohol at the bar as Heineken and Red Bull obviously were the big sponsors here; no free oranges and fruits like last year.
Music: (Tiesto himself: 5/10) rest 10/10 - didn't hear Uppercut
Vibe: 8/10 (would be 9 or 10 without overcrowded dancefloor). |

| Tiesto was late because of the weather, not because he wanted to. |
