I know, but there's nothing stopping him from taking pics of people for his own viewing. By the same token, I should have the right to take pics of myself and my friends, and anyone else who may ask to be photographed by me. At Airwave's gig (the one I was talking about a few posts above) there were people with crazy glowstic/stringing skills and they asked me to take videos of them... nothing wrong with that.

I was shooting a pic of a group of people, then some random guy popped up to me and said that he was in the picture.

I checked and we see half of his face, he was furious and demanded that i erase the pic. I said no because the group have their picture taken bla bla and that I will crop him off.

He wasn't happy but what do you want me to do.

I do also recieve messages from people who simply don't want their pic online, even if they let me take their pic.

In my opinion (which means nothing compared to the law of course) it should be your decision as to wether or not you include their pictures on your site. Sure, the proper thing to do is respect the people who you take photos of as essentially, they are in many regards your clients- howevever I know in the US this isn't necessarily what the law dictates.

Will be finding me some law students to grill when I get home.

Exactly my point.

Interesting topic (photo one), belongs in another thread maybe? As for the language barrier thing, it's cute until you're bombed and you can't make out what they are saying.. and it works the other way around too :p

Next year for Resolution, line up should be:

Preach
Grondin
Graham (you earned it this time)
Calderone
Lawler (he seems to like spinning in Montreal and vice versa).

If you need some big name to bring in the peeps, then book AVB instead of Lawler but keep the rest.

exactly, so I was asking if I promise to be an honourable photographer would I then be able to bring my camera in? And I don't host a website, I just want pics of myself and my gf with the amazing lights/visuals in the background. Why is that against the law?

Any luck finding an official link to the Quebec government's law on this Allied Nations?

Well he wasn't doing anything funny or disgraceful and my picture wasn't putting him in focus, so he has nothing to say really except to bitch and me comply just to be nice.

wow what a night. definately worth the trip from Toronto!

to those complaining about the price and that it was over crowded are obviously under-educated.
we were fortunate to be able to attend that event at the "over-crowdedness" (if you can call it that) at such a cheap price.
Read a little into introductory economics. you'll supply and demand affect prices. at 100$ they still packed the place. if you want cheaper tickets then more people will show and itll be more packed! if you want it less packed then you charge more and less people will go!

anyways, about the night!
really impressed with the setup. truly am in awe! great openers however i couldve used a little vocals or even a bassline change during the warmup sets but its no big deal. tiesto being late was not even that big of a deal because it gave most people to rest in the stands (which was a great asset). however, the only downfall of the night was danny torrence RIDICULOUSLY horrid set. im sorry, i realize you were a closer or your set couldve been unprepared because of scheduling problems. however, playing dead "tech" trance at 130 bpm does not help the situation. also, the over bass could've temporarily resolved from the mixer's eq.

regardless, fantastic night. to pull an event of that magnitude in canada successfully is truly an accomplishment.

heres a thought. what about the hosts financial situation?
ie) lets say they sold 8000 tickets at approx 100$. thats only $800,000. imo, that even was more than a million dollar event budget wise. staff, lights, djs, setup, stadium rental for 3 days, etc. could they possibly have made up for that in concession sales?

anyways, BON NUIT! merci montreal!

Tiesto's set fyi was perfect. everything i couldve asked for. classic tiesto style. also, heard some new tracks from his new album "elements of life". could be an interesting release!

I totally agree with that line-up, it'd be amazing and I'd definitely like to see Max play again.

Hey I said its cute. I am not making fun of her. I hang out with girls from Gatineau and some don't speak english that well and I get a good chukle out of it. It wasn't intented to be offencive.

I had to learn english too and I in no way can speak perfectly yet.

If I wrote my review in french it would be anything but cute hehe.
