Well, like I said before, Germany has precedent for banning the expression of certain opinions. This didn't come out of nowhere.

I certainly hope not...

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Either way, I see this as an affront to personal freedom, and it makes me wonder why a country like Germany would consider this a good idea. Laws like these are always a bad idea...

alright 2 questions...

a) are u ed in the head?
b) are u a Scientologist?

scientology would be fine if not for the sociopaths running the scam. i have no qualms with what people want to believe in. but when u have organizations like scientology destroying peoples lives and tearing apart families is when u need to start questioning things

I could argue the Vatican does the same, as with the religious right complex in the United States.

Obviously you're not much a fan of personal freedom.

Questioning or banning?

Other religions can tear apart families and destroy lives as well. Should we ban them, too?

They hardly "thrive", but they are free to exist, and it's not a political view. You're digging yourself into a hole here.

Hey, if having more freedom means that we have to deal with more cults, then so be it.

Whoa... I'm not the greatest fan of much of what the Vatican does but tearing families apart... I don't see how you could rationally argue that.
