That isn't primer. It is normal paint job with one maybe 2 coats of clear.

I thoroughly hate circle lights. Why do car companies use them so much!? They are some of the ugliest abominations in the car industry.

They don't use them anymore because of insurance / bumper / pedestrian safety wank issues that dictate the design of the fronts of cars now.
They are a classic look, and one I love (though no disrespect to your different tastes, not all examples look good I will admit).
For me, it's a "purity of form" thing, but it's what I like. I love old BMW's where the lights just hang in the grille. I love 1st gen VW GTi's with the 4 lamp grille. Lancia Delta HF Integrale and almost everything cool and sporty that came from Japan pre-1985.

I don't really like too many of the new cars on the road now, though after moving to Europe I do appreciate the little hot-hatches that are available from Renault and Peugeot.
If I ever own another car, it will be a toy, and an affordable classic. Probably with round lights lol

Ok I should clarify, I was meaning on modern cars. I love it on a lot of classic and modern classic cars. The Datsun 510, E36 M3, Original 2002, among others, look ing sick with their lights.
