Same here. It's not as nice as the old one (of course!) but that looks DAMN FINE.

Being better than the original is impossible imho. You just can't be, but this "successor" of sorts, is the absolute best way to reincarnate the original, I think.

no central seating, but will likely still be impressive and as small as a fiesta|

Pretty much. I mean, the old one is a classic. There's nothing else you could call it. And you can't just 'create' a classic.

But I really like it :)

Totally forgot about this, but yes I do agree.

Awful. Looks like they tried to model the front on a mustang and failed, doors on a Lambo and failed (looks like a ing Seagull), rear on an Aston and failed. But hey, it's a Merc so it's probably built well :haha:

The new Merc is a great looking car (definitly looks better than the SLR).

Dude, that's why they're called gull-wing doors. MB pioneered them on the original 300 SL Gullwing in the 50's.

I think the new Merc is stunning, though that red colour is awful. The car should only be sold in silver.

I'm well aware of that, but it doesn't mean they have to look like actual seagull wings. I'm sorry but the car design is unoriginal and a mishmash of poorly thought out concepts.

Totally agree with this.

They weren't trying to come out with some groundbreaking nor wholly original design. That was not their intention. They set out to bring an old classic back in a modern retro design that was not a horror story like the Chevy HHR and SSR or the Chrysler PT Cruiser.

My buddies turbo s2000 AE86 (old setup)

Here it is in action

Drifting isnt as lame as i thought it was. He has given me rides in the past, but now with his new turbo setup that car MOVES. He did some hot laps around his shop, 70mph a few inches from a curve is crazier then what i though it was.

:D
