I wasn't - the first amendment relates to religion, which the republicans desperately try to tie to government. I was using the constitution and the first amendment as a timeline reference, for why there might have been a necessity for the average citizen to bear arms in the late 1700's, but not at all now. What's not funny, is that there was one of the biggest protest rallies in Achorage's history - and it was to protest against Palin. More than a thousand protesters (Mainly women) turned up to show their anti Palin stance at a Palin Speech in Anchorage, her state's largest city.
The scary thing is that there seems to have been news blackout about this on the major news channels and outlets. Every speech she has given to date has been televised to death, but not this one......wonder why?

What is hilarious is the fact that you can make a single good point on Palin being anything near a decent choice for VP other than the fact that they are trying to get Hillary supporters and also give them some ground to stand on that the republicans are for change now as well. Hard to believe when Bush made all his daddies friends even richer and got them more control to do what they want even going above the law at some points(Oh Kenny boy, you don't have to spend time in jail). Of course they (special interests) want to keep riding this wave.. Its not a theory when 7 of McCains campaign leaders are lobbyists...
