Lets not forget they have controlled congress since 1994. The mid 90's were not that bad right? Economies are full of hills and vallies, we could not keep at that pace forever. |

None.
The major damage done to this country in the past 10 years has been the fault of the republican congress and president. |

+300,000,000 (population of the USA).
There is no doubt, in anyone's mind (even the most hardened republican fan base) that the damage to this country has been done this republican administration, which are clearly going to down in the history books as the worst presidential terms ever afflicted on the USA. This subject is now a given. The Bush administration has been an unqualified disaster, both for the US and internationally.
There is no mistake in the 60 or so speeches given at the RNC, the word "Cheney" was not uttered, even once. In the entire 4 day convention. First time also in history that the incumbent president did not attend their own party's convention in preson. It is just too embarrassing for the McLame and Failin campaign. McCain spent less than 11 seconds in his 10 minute speech talking (thanking) about Bush. |

You are aware the republicans have not been the majority party in congress since January 07? |

By the way, she's just done her first interview and the republicans are already trying to spin it. An independant reviewer at the BBC world service said of the interview:
"On many questions she was searching answers....sounded incredibly coached and not speaking her own mind.......on some subjects she didn't even know the subject matter in hand........it was an indication that the fears about her lack of experience are valid."
Check this out, here she on ABC getting caught out: She's trying explain her comments on Iraq being a "holy war" (her words). Watch her try to lie then patronize her way out of it.

| Anyone who votes McCain/Palin is encouraging 4-8 more years of failed presidency. McCain has voted with Bush on 95% of issues, and will not bring about change whatsoever. So, if you're happy with the current state of the economy, then by all meens vote for these idiots. |

Nice to see that so collectively, this forum actually has brains.
It doesnt matter about the administration that is currently in control, it is a lost cause...
Anyone who doesnt see this country for what it is, and all the reasons that we are failing is just plain ignorant.
I applaude all of you for stating your position, as I have been given an extrordinary ability to see both sides.. |

Don't listen to other people have to say, research yourself and vote for who represents your views and issues. |

Of course I am. The Dems do not have veto majority either.
While they have been lagging in terms of reversing the damage, I am talking about those responsible for it, not who needs to fix it.
As John Stewart said to Mike Huckabee recently "Basically, you think your party is the best choice to fix the damage done by your party"
Thats as simple as it can be put... |

you are aware that the margin of majority in congress is so slim that any attempt to reverse policy in election season will end in a stalemate right? |
