My review:
the scene was pretty good, everyone looked like they were having a good time.
however, this was the first time i've ever been bored at a trance concert. i was walking around with some friends doing absolutely nothing and hanging around the bar at certain points.
armin mixed in a few good tracks, but most of it was absolute .
also +1 that armin needs to stop doing that goofy ass with his hands, from the heart shape to the stupid jesus cross and of course his terrible clap. tiesto is way less corny in that respect.
lol i was absolutely blasted and wasted (had to sit down and take a breather at one point) and I was still annoyed most of the night. i think it's safe to say i'm never wasting money on armin again. |

you guys are way too focused on what the DJ is doing behind the decks. trance isnt something that you can put much technical skill into outside of some effects and of course beatmatching/EQing. once the song is transitioned in...you've gotta pass the time some how lol.
id rather armin jumps around, fist pumps, claps rather than not do that at all. for example, seeing paul van dyk live it feels like he's not even enjoying what he's doing even though he probably is. |

yeah he did that on EVERY SINGLE TRACK. it's entertaining for the first few minutes, but after a while it's repetitive and annoying. i think it definitely contributes to the vibe though. i feel like the night and the crowd would not have been as alive if armin wasn't doing that. although all that really says is that his set was . |

well paul van dyk is doing things, like mash-ups with ableton, EQ-ing and filtering, adding different kicks, MIDI manipulation, playing live-strings. armin is doing nothing. if he's really that bored he should try adding something new to his set. bring a live instrument or something, learn how to scratch. boredom is not an excuse for being a goofball. |

The bar is so high for Armin that he has to be perfect every night and everything he does is held under a microscope. A lot of djs interact with the crowd as much as Armin. But you never hear people making fun of Vath for it. And his sets are scrutinized even more. Most people on here want bomb after bomb all night with a bunch of classics mixed in. But that's not really Armin's style, never has been. And personally, bomb after bomb gets old fast. He could of left out a vocal here or there, but for the most part I thought it was a pretty sweet set and judging by the crowd, so did everyone else. |

+10,000!!!! Thats why I never grew a liking to PVD, his sets arent that great IMO and he literally stands there looking pissed while he spins... Although I wonder how he looks when he plays Will Smith- Miami as he did down at WMC... I was giving his wmc set a listen at the gym today and nearly fell off the treadmill when i ever heard big willie rapping on my trance mix.
