he played the mashup of AVB vs Jochen Miller - In and Out of Connection

^ No, I know that but I knew that we thought we heard face value or 9 minutes.. could have been just something that sounded similar.

I'm so glad I came up to New York for Armin, even though I paid $75 including fees cause I had an amazing time.

Armin definitely exceeded my expectations! I've seen him 5-6 times in my raving/clubbing career of the last 3-4 years and most recently saw him at Armin Only at Together As One in LA on NYE. His set there was meh and average so when he came to DC 2 weeks ago, I didn't bother to go as there was a badass techno warehouse rave going on that night.

A friend of mine from school, I recently discovered, is into trance. He invited me to go up and see Armin with him in NYC. He ended up backing out but I had already bought my ticket and knew a friend from DC that was going and knew Alyssa would be there and we would finally get to chill, so I said it, and took the bus up to NYC by myself (as I have previously done, I went up to Ferry @ Pacha in Oct by myself and didn't really meet any NYTAs except Big Mike).

Metup with my DC friend and danced with her half of the night. When we first got there she was looking for Big Mike to get some CDs so while she was waiting at the bar, I scouted around and found him! We then proceeded to dance, dance, and dance! After a while they wanted to go back to the back bar to get drinks, and as we were heading over I realized I dropped my phone on the dancefloor in the middle of the crowd :O Luckily I ran over to where I had been and managed to find a guy who I was dancing next to, and he called my phone and I clutched it from under someone's foot :O I'm so damn lucky I got that phone back!

At this point I finally saw the bar that Alyssa told me that the TAs were at. I ran into Alyssa and got introduced to a bunch of NYTAs and cool peeps :D I danced with these people/y'all the rest of the night and had a fabulous time.

TAs make such a cute group :)

I wasn't too concerned about the music as I don't expect top notch music from Armin or the top 5-10 trance DJs anymore but I enjoyed many of his songs and the venue and the people just made the night beautiful for me :)

Haha the first thing a New Yorker said to me all night was this random dude when I walked into Roseland and was waiting in the lobby for my friends, pointing out that my socks weren't matching. But after that initial weirdness the NYTAs made me feel very welcome and I'll be sure to come back ;)

Haha I love how y'all are complaining about how early he ended. How spoiled you New Yorkers are :P Shows almost always end at 3AM-3:30AM, and even in LA with massive raves, they often only go to 4AM, unless they're outdoor parties. I love how late the clubs close in NYC :)

Roseland is beautiful! This venue is FTW! I loved the lasers and visuals! I haven't seen visuals that great in years not even at massives in LA and certainly not at clubs!

After dancing where the TAs were to the left of the stage, near the end of the night, a couple of us got in the middle of the dancefloor, and in some very unlikely chance, ran into my 2 girlfriends from DC :O So we danced out the last couple of songs. Then we went to get our coats 15 min before the show ended. I ended up going with one of Alyssa's friends, Alex, and his friends, Cali, Francesca, Meredith, another Alex, Chuy to an afterparty in Brooklyn, just chilling and listening to music, and I stayed there til around 5PM (I took one small nap at one point). I finally left the city at around 7PM, and just got home in my apartment at midnight :O

The only thing that really sucked all night was that when we went to get our coats, some random teenage short middle eastern guy was following me and wouldn't leave me alone. One of the girls I became friends with this night, told him to leave me the alone, but he still was following us from a distance when we were leaving, until he saw us meetup with a guy, and then finally stopped following us. I really need to invest in some pepper spray, sketchy club moments like this happen to me all too often :( Other than this one thing, everything else was freaking brilliant.

But I came back feeling that this trip was mostly definitely worth it even though I have to get up at 8:30AM for work, and earlier than that to study since I got back so late and didn't have time to study tonight. But after I finish this post I'm going to fall asleep like a baby, and I haven't felt this great at the end of the weekend in a long time :) I am glad I made so many new friends in NYC and hopefully will be coming up more often now that I've got a little part time job.

PS Sorry I didnt do shoutouts, as although many of you met me and remembered me, I met like 20-30 new people that night at least, so I can only remember a handful of names.

Great finally getting to chill with Alyssa & Drew, wish we could have afterpartied together so I could have talked to them more, but hopefully there will be other chances!

Great meeting Alex, Erica, Jordan, Francesca, Cali, Chuy, Latino Alex, and this one random cool guy that helped me find my phone, and let my short self, sit on his shoulders for a few minutes so I could actually *decently* see what the heck was going on the stage. But ya I know met many more of you guys, but names are just not coming to me.

Oh and the odds of me meeting another Latina from South Central LA at a random party in NYC are tiny, so it was freaking awesome that happened!
