I changed the numbers to "1" etc only because I came in during "man on the run". That is what I count as the first track on my set list. |

Exactly. He is far from PVD mixing. Thats why allready last year i said no to indoor armin parties , because he is sucked!!! |

LOL you can't compare Armin's mixing to PVD. PVD blows him out the water because PVD doesn't use cdj's and has two laptops with Ableton. PVD already mastered Ableton so he is a mad man. Armin is pretty good at mixing with cdj's though.
Man On The Run remix is by Nic Chagall. It is going to be on Armin's next ASOT compilation. He loves that song right now and I think it is the best remix. |

Well like usual, theres alot of hate being thrown around after last night, which I thought was great. I think Armin came correct with alot of the major bangers from 2009 and also proven tracks from the past that are always appreciated.
As far as the tracklist... theres 1 track in there that everyone missed:
Vengeance - Unexpectation (Denga & Manus Remix)
He played this 1 or 2 tracks after Vergatron, both are absolute belters!!!
Fav tracks of the night had to be:
Elevation - Biscayne
Terry Ferminal - 1,000 Miles
Heatbeat - Vergatron
Vengeance - Unexpectation (Denga & Manus Remix)
Rafael Frost - Red (Ferry Corsten Remix) |

I love Armin.
Awesome ing set.
It was my first time at Roseland and I actually reaallyyy liked it. The bouncers were mostly s but that can be expected in bigger venues. The lighting and sound system was incredible though. I was up on the balcony for a bit just "admiring" the lasers and lighting system, and the guy beside me had a laser pointer and was messing with the lights and disco ball. haha really awesome times :toocool:
best part of the night? Two guidos got into a fight in front of me about who was a better dj... Tiesto or Armin ;P |

I had a blast night but not coz of armin just coz of the ppl around. IMO armin really sucked last night, except for a few tracks here and there. halloween was soo much better, McCarren pool was so soo much better.
was good to her DJ ECO- Lost Angeles, Chakalaka's Time Gate Mashup and Communication PT3.
I usually dont notice trainwrecks or mixing mistakes but there were quite a few last night.
i just wish he'd stop bieng Jesus and stop making those lame gay heart shapes with his hands lol
My videos are uploading...will be up soon |
Glad I'm not alone in feeling same way - I thought show was average at best, I've heard better radio shows. Place was beyond packed, trashed ppl everywhere, walls and every flat area covered with (mostly) asian ppl wasted on some serious - reminded me of good ole Twilo days. the set up was just ughh... impossible to move around - I liked it when they had the stage along the wide side - seemed to work better.
the set (imo) was not as fluid and was mainly "ASOT's biggest hits". Out of sheer boredom, I decided to count how many times Armin "Struck a Pose". In a span of about 15 minutes Armin "vogued" 6 times. That's about 2 - 3 "Vogues"/track. I figure you count up the tracks and figure Armin's average APPM (Armin Pose Per Minute) - be it raised headphones, hearts, jesus poses, or bowing in "we're not worthy" sort of way. It was just funny... and sad at the same time.
I wonder, on some days - does it actually register how pretentious this is or do people in this position get abnoxiously self-centered?
Dunno.. just wasn't feelin it last night and felt it was a waste of $70. At least I almost didn't spend anything on drinks all night, as I was the designated driver.
Overall, i'd rate the night as 4/10. |
