alright guys just got back home, going to put in some thoughts. first off, glenn morrison beasted for the hour that i caught of him. i knew it was going to be an early night when armin got on at 12. the crowd seemed a lot more lively this time around, seemed like everyone enjoyed morrison's set. my only complaints for the night were how ridiculously hot it got in there, and how early armin got off.
it was great meeting a bunch of TA's that i havent, and seeing marcello blasted within like 20 minutes of getting into roseland lol. during the concert i met neogaia and a few of the ta's on the dance floor, but i couldnt really make out anything we exchanged so to you guys - im the kid you guys met later in the night.
oh, and ay star & burak i saw you guys afterwards at the pizzeria but ay didnt seem to happy with armin getting off so early, so i figured id just let you enjoy your food since i had to catch the bus right after. :P

| I agree it was disappointing that Armin got off a lot early than I thought he was going to play. Other than that, it was a good show. He played a lot of songs I was looking forward to hearing so Im good. Glenn Morrison did a nice job getting the crowd ready for Armin and Roseland was packed by 12am. |

Omg, I'm sure I shared entirely too much information about my bagel disaster with everyone... but I was so uncomfortable! That was horrible. I still don't feel right.
So just so everyone knows, so I can spare you the anguish...
NEVER order lox at the hot and crusty on broadway near 110th st. DON'T DO IT TRUST ME.

wow this was a FUN night!!! so many old friends came to party...the vibe was great and the sound system delivered. When we came in at 930pm, Glenn Morrison was starting up...he proceeded to bang it out like a non-opener -- Southern Sun, Born Slippy being two points during his set where i was like "WOW".
Armins set was good/diverse, so many classics too! I actually found myself dancing non stop the whole night (it been awhile since ive done that anywhere)
I believe he got off at 5am-ish. At 4:45am Drew and I had thought to go downstairs to get our jackets so we could beat the lines that were sure to form once the set had ended. We already knew he was winding down, but it just so happens he ended his set...and ppl were coming down the stairs. At that moment i felt like i still had 2-3 hrs more left in me. Damns these early closes!
funny part of the night: we had gotten there at 930ish to find that the line wrapped around the block to 53rd and Broadway (most likely the rush was due to ppl having to buy tickets at door, so EVERYONE came early). Anyway, about 10 minutes later we had gotten our wristbands. As we round the corner, we saw someone buy two Armin tickets for 150$ apiece. we are like "goddamns, this show is SOO not worth 150$" even as the seller insisted that the price would be 50$ more than his asking price. well we get up to the door, and AT-DOOR prices are 70$!!! thats it. mann that person must have felt like such a tool when he eventually stepped up. :haha:
it was great finally meeting Elyyse and Rocio...and ran into EVERYONE else at one pt or another :crazy: :tongue2 |

it was definitely a fun night! the sound system was MUCH better than at halloween, and the crowd was amazing - the place erupted when he played communication pt. 3, and during "hold on to me".
i think glenn morrison's set was awesome. armin's set i thought was very, very average. after he played "aurora" it was all downhill and very predictable. he only really picked it up in the last hour, with a few good tunes scattered between midnight and 4am. thank god he didn't play going wrong though!!!!
also i don't think he played the 4am remix of "man on the run", i'm not sure what remix it was, but it wasn't the 4am one for sure! he also played:

anyway, off to bed now - finally got back to connecticut. also, it was nice to meet the few TAs that i did meet - hope to see you guys again soon!!! |

Well I didn't make it till 10ish because we were waiting for someone to showup at the bar 2hours ago. The line wasn't that bad and we got right in. Place was already paaackkkeeddd. Glenn was just finishing up. Met up erica first, and then others. Then danced my ass off till he stopped. But it was just me dancing bymyself this time. =[ and there was no way I could track anyoneee down.
I left hungry for more dancing. Did not find it so went back to the hotel. I'm exhausted, dehydrated, and hungry but overall a great night. I met some really great people! |
