woow and i thought i would get bashed for defending tiesto but this is ridiculous... if u guys think this was a good show, just go see tiesto next time he is here and you'll ur pants when he starts banging it out at around 140bpm with at least 2.5 hours to go lol like andrew said, we should hold a survey hahaha tiesto does play some ty songs (his remixes of pop songs) but you'll never here him play them in nyc. the dude builds up his sets like no other trance dj and always leaves bunch of ids behind.

I completely agree with this.

I realize Im a little late on this but heres my short review on Armin from my view.

I didnt get to Roseland till 10 because I didnt know how I was going to get in until 8pm that night. Someone said they had a tough time with the bouncers at Roseland, but I have to say that it was the complete opposite for me. I wish these were the bouncers I had everytime I went to an event in the city.

Once inside, Glenn Morrison did a great job pumping up the crowd. I had a great time, but it wasnt the best show in the worlc, I had a better experience when Tiesto came. Thats not to say that his whole show was disappointing, because it wasnt, there were some songs that were bombs, him signing the flag and meeting him briefly were awesome as well.

It was not cool when the bartender charged me for a drink that I didnt order.

Earlier someone said that the crowd didnt know how to handle themselves and its true, it annoys me to see people paying a ticket to an event only to see them sitting on the stairs or laid on their back in the bathroom. I even saw the security taking two girls into the men's bathroom since the womans bathroom was packed...well thats what they said.

It was cool meeting up with Martin, David, Burak, Byran. If I had known that Andrew was the fist pumping person, then it would have made 5.

It was an alright night, but its not a night that Ill remember forever, you know, like some of the other events that have come to NYC in the past.

See, I dont even think I would put Armin in my top 20. I just come with the mindset of having a great time, regardless of the cheese that is played. Now if he would of started pumping out some techy trance, and lots and lots of harder trance, I went of went crazy and probably crapped my pants. I was expecting a decent set, and got a good set. Good sets to me are all I expect from Armin and all I need to have a great time. When someone throws down an epic set, find Bryan and see how crazy he is going then. =P

I was begning to wonder if I was the only one who gave a about this. I know Im an oldie, but come on!!

And your comment reminded me of another great time that night! Steven goes into the bathroom and after him walks in some chick who proceeds to just stand in the middle of the mens room spacing out. Apparently (hopefully) waiting for her bf or SOMETHING....all the dudes in there were like- wtf???

then she proceeded to FALL out of the room on her way out. hahahaha jesus people. Were the dealers having some kind of trunk sale and everyone just HAD to take too much or something???? hahah

I agree on the notes of being there to have a good time why pay so much attention to the DJ ect. And, I agree with the people who like to really analize the set and watch and enjoy the DJ. I do both. Especially when its mr van Sexy on stage. But, I did take the time to enjoy the music in the back ground and my company first and foremost....and, i have to say- one of the best nights ever because of this. I think it totally depends on the show, the company, and the atmosphere.

This is always the best part of going down to the downstairs bathroom. Watching all the people zoned out, wobbling around, pee'n all over themselves and the person next to them.

I just remembered I saw one kid laying in the doorway of the bathroom, half puking on himself. What a mess he was, hahaha. I love the the zoned out people, the people sitting with their heads inbetween their knees, and the people playing that play with lights as the zoned out people watch like it's the second coming of christ

A large portion of those complaining are the same people who complained the last time too. There is a lesson to be learned here, what? Do you guys have like a three strikes rule or something or am I going to see more complaints about the same the same time next year lol? The last time I attended an Armin event was 2007, ask yourselves why... and even that occasion had much to do with out of state friends visiting who coerced me into going.

It's time for some fresh new talent. Bigger or the proclaimed "#1 status" doesn't necesarily mean better. If the night is going to be this predictable I'd rather just stay home and imagine it....then read all the complaints the following day on TA.

My personal rules to club by.... (purely IMO)

1. If you attend an event and it sucks DON'T go to the performers next event.

2. Never base your party decisions on "someone else" or my "friends" are going to be there. happens, people don't show...your stuck at a party you didn't want to go to in the first place.

3. Don't assume anything about a DJ based on his history. Just because he was "good" back then doesn't mean he is now or even spinning the same genre for that matter. Do your research and decide based on some recent sets or tracklists.

4. If a DJ tends to spin a lot of the same tracks from set to set he's likely going to play them at the upcoming performance, by that time you will probably already be sick of hearing them. BORING! If this happens..wait a show or two before seeing him again in hopes that he changes up his tracklist and surprises you.

5. Never pay full/door price, if you know you are going FOR CERTAIN get advanced tickets and stop raping your wallet.

6. If its just too good to be true, it probably is...Don't beleive any speculation on an event until is is confirmed by a reliable source such as the artist himself, promoter, manager, etc. (Not his friends mom's half cousin's babysitter, or your uncle that happens to be delivering a lot of port-o-poties.)

One of the major problems with the crowd not being able to handle themselves is that they keep throwing these 18 and over parties which brings in a bunch of little kids 18 and younger , who are doing drugs drooling all over themselves. Best thing to do is get a table and chill.

I think the track you are looking for is Neptune Project - Aztec. I don't think this track is out yet. Aly & Fila made an AMAZING remix of this, but Armin only played the original.

^ Marcello, it almost sounded like a jacked up ferry corsten - shanti, no?? I remember that too, it was later on in the night.
