True. They are all fads, but hey it gets people to start dancing and branching out. The good thing about the fad dances are that they develop rhythm... Once you get a genuine rhythm down many branch out and incorporate other dances more easily. Shuffling as a base will eventually allow all these shufflers to express movement in more and better ways.

One advantageous thing about shuffling... Shufflers/"movement" dancers in general like to dance in the back of the dance stage to get more freedom of movement (Lessening DJ worship as well)... This reduces the "push/crush" that happens towards the front of the stage that happens at every event. The push still happens, but its not bone crushing. An example of this is an Infected Mushroom stage vs. any other dancing EDM stage. The push towards the front of an Infected Mushroom stage can absolutely be "deadly". This is due to the lack of creative dancing movement IMO. While shuffling may not be the most creative dance move, I think its a great way to gain rhythm and to incorporate as a move (Sick at buildups/breakdowns).

Damn typed a lot, haha sorry for the threadjack!

i get what you're saying...i used to bboy so im all for dancing. i do agree it does put dancing back on stage vs. stage humping, etc. there are just other ways to express urself. maybe popping, freestyle, housing, and so on...im just not a huge fan of it, thats all.

WOW!!! Menno is confirmed now? I haven't seen him live yet but I've heard good things. It doesn't appear that all these artists will fit on the main stage though :conf:
