When i left the ATB set, the trance tent was still pretty packed, although his set really sucked, he has a lot of young people that love him, ppl around me were chanting "ATB", when he was playing teenage dreams, I just stopped dancing at that point.
I feared after teenage dreams he would start playin lame-ass , and he did, good thing he didn't play eminem.

No, but he did play the next best thing, Katy Perry :haha:

So Henry.. Any word on why the house and trance stages switched tents?? Just wondering the logistics behind it.

well they said it was for space reasons, they felt as if trance would draw a bigger crowd. but that's bs.

unfortunately one of those things where we won't really know the real truth..i suspect it had to do with what i heard.

+1 on wondering the reason for the switch. I probably wouldn't have gone if I knew ahead of time that the production between the 2 tents would have been so different and that the trance one was the smaller one. Also, if I knew and still wanted to go, I probably wouldn't have gotten VIP either since there was no VIP area in the trance tent. At EDC the lighting and setup of the smaller areas like the Kinetic Field were pretty great so I wouldn't have minded as much if the trance tent was not the "main" area. At Nocturnal, I know the stages were a lot smaller but besides Alice's House, the stages didn't seem that impressive :(

As hot as it was at Nocturnal, imagine if it was today...and at the Coliseum. It's 111 in downtown LA right now!!! 109.7 where I live as of noon.

Very impressed on how the event was run. This is my 2nd SoCal party, outdoor events are wayyyyyy better than indoor. The last one I went to was Popsicle, and it was a a freakin suana. The Labyrinth lineup was amazing, I couldn't ask for a better lineup. Music was top notch from start from Menno, Simon Patterson, Markus, ATB, and Ferry. I just wish that they didn't switch the tents. It would have been even more amazing night with the trance dj's in the alice room. The wait for the line wasn't too bad, got in less than 10mins (left @ like 430).

The insomniac water containers are a good idea! I just wished there were more refill centers, at times the line was too long. Overall great event!

Great event. From the issues with willcall/guestlist last time at Audiotistic, they improved 100%.

I think Steve Angello had the best set, but I didn't get a chance to see it all the way through he end.

Staff seemed to be really friendly as well, those security guys at VIP seemed to actually be having fun.

I was really bummed that they switched the tents around last minute, but I think it worked out quite well.

Did anyone catch Eddie Halliwell's set?

Some highlights from the night:
Ferry Corsten - Brain Box (MaRLo Remix)
Coldplay - The Scientist (Maarten de Jong Bootleg)
Markus Schulz - Perfect
Mr. Pit - Sky Traffic
Simon Patterson - Thump
Max Graham - Nothing Else Matters
Motorcycle - As The Rush Comes

i'm late to the post NOCWON party but i'll say a few then leave it alone..

i don't like Markus' sets. i have never really liked any of his sets after 2005. that being said, he probably had the best set of the trance area. Ferry was no bum himself, but Markus was throwing down some floor destroyers. I got there late and caught the 2nd half of Menno's set. I felt he did a good job getting everyone set for the remainder of the night. Simon was Simon.

i think ATB is possibly the worst popular DJ in the world. he still relies much on his 'classic' works to get cheap cheers from the crowd. hearing 9pm (Till I Come) for 7+ minutes is excruciating. btw, his chosen rock track was a Rage Against The Machine song who's name escapes me.

18+ makes a big difference. i was extremely surprised to see ID card scanners and a bunch of kiddies getting turned away at the door. i asked a security guard if there were any casualties of the night to which he said nope. all that automatically made this event seemingly better than EDC.

big cheers to the promoters to allow water refills of any bottle, be it the canteens or the plastic bottles from the vendors.

eddie was amazing- definitely my favorite set of the night. simon, markus, and steve angelo had great sets too, but eddie just tore the place apart. so glad i dragged my friends away from ferry (it was tricky, but it had to be done) :p

overall: epic.
