I wasn't labeling you. I think you're right that the Boston-Miami series is a toss-up. That doesn't make anybody who believes one of the two teams will win, and provides valid reasons for the outcome, a tool.

Personally, I think Boston will take the series.

Well, you said "You must be one of those guys"... making sure "those" was in italics. That sounds like labeling to me, but what do I know?

I just feel like making predictions this early on such an evenly matched series is ill-advised, because it's just too hard to tell how each team is playing against each other in the playoffs. Every team will adapt to their opponent's style of defense, and I expect Boston to make their adjustments for Game 2.

This whole "don't worry it's only the first game" attitude may be effective at assuaging the anxiety that comes after being beaten, but you didn't lose because you played badly, you lost because you're playing a better team. I'm not saying the Celtics are a bad team, as it's obvious that they aren't, but Miami has them beat at almost every position on the floor.

Come on, don't go all armchair psychologist on me. I'm not minimizing stuff to fake out personal anxiety over the C's imminent demise. lol

Look you make some valid points. Miami is definitely more athletic and has more guys in their prime. It's just that every time the C's are underestimated they prove otherwise. As a team, they've been there before and deep playoff experience does make a difference. Better players does not equal better team. We'll see how the game 2 adjustments go. If Boston gets utterly destroyed on Monday, then I'll start worrying.

If the Celtics win the series, I plan on sending a box of cow to Kevin's doorstep :o

They've also never played this Miami Heat team in the playoffs when it really matters either.

Predictions for the 2 games tonight??

I'm thinking:
Hawks are totally ed against the Bulls, especially with Heinrich out. Boozer was questionable but now it looks like he will play. Looking forward to an exciting first half, but I don't think the Hawks will be able to keep up with Rose and the Bulls.

As for the Lakers game: I don't think these guys are willing to get shown up at home again at this stage in the playoffs. Bynum and Gasol should be ready for this one, and their presence inside will be the difference. Dirk will play well, I think everybody knows that. It won't be enough. Lakers are 2-1 against Dallas this season, having held them to 6 points per game below their season average and 90% of their 3-pt average. Can't wait for this game :D

Lakers by a metric ton.

Bulls in a close one.

I don't think the Bulls' series will be close.

I don't think it goes past 5.

Series, no. I have a bad feeling that they will make game 1 closer than it should be, though.
