2011 NBA Playoffs (pg. 41)

I think we can all agree on one thing - these NBA playoffs have been pretty unpredictable.

Also, the Mavs sweeping LA without their second best scorer, Caron Butler, is pretty damn impressive.

To be fair, Jason Terry doesn't belong coming off the bench. He would be a starter on almost every team in the NBA. He's definitely one of the best bench players in the league. It's not surprising for him to go for 20+ a night, because he is actually that good.
Renzo
The problem with Jason Terry is while he was lights out today, he could very easily go 2-8 from the floor next game.

When he's hot, he's a force, but he can be inconsistent.

I guess that's why he comes off the bench :p

Also, I just saw this on nba.com, how exactly do they determine what a "clutch" shot is?

82.5% : Dirk Nowitzki's true shooting percentage in clutch situations in the playoffs thus far.
Renzo
No clue. I'd assume being down a basket or something with under 30 seconds left.

Wacky stat.

He would be a starter on teams like Wizards, Cavs, etc. Get what I mean?

There is a reason why people in Dallas hate Terry. He's a mental midget and extremely one dimensional. Plays no defense and undersized for his position. The reason why he went off on this series is because Dallas moved the ball beautifully and LA got shredded with their perimeter defense. Did you see how many WIDE ING OPEN 3's they had?? They are NBA playes. They will make them all day if they are left that wide open. Put someone like Tony Allen on Terry and he will be a complete non factor.

I think a Mavs/Heat rematch is in the making. Dirk will go off on Memphis. Dirk will have to play some defense against Gasol though but Dirk will slow them down and drag them out of the paint. And Thunder have no match for him either. They can easily put Marion, Stevenson, or Brewer on Durant to slow him down and play one on one. No worries with Westbrick either. Inexperience will be the death of them. If Dallas keep executing their zone with the best defensive big in the league (Chandler), then they have an easy path to the Finals.

And if it is Dallas/Miami in the finals, who are the Heat going to have guard Dirk? Bosh? Anthony? :stongue:

Bosh guarding Dirk is like having Stephen Hawking try to stop Patrick Willis.
