As I said... I am and I know all things Boston. I love John Havlicek, he was a great player for a long time. BUT HE COULDN'T LAST 2 MINUTES ON THE COURT vs. KOBE. Let me guess... you think Babe Ruth would be relevant today too? |

| , "Greatest of all time" arguments are irrelevant when it comes to a point where you're comparing athleticism. Lebron James could probably put the hurt on most of the players that srussell listed, but he's not considered top 10. Being an incredible athlete has nothing to do with being the greatest. You need championships and a reputation before you're considered the greatest. This argument is ing stupid. |

Omg I bet Kobe Bryant wouldn't be able to compete with athletes 30-40 years from now, that must mean he sucks! I'll keep burning up your straw men as many times as you post them. No, Babe Ruth would not be relevant today, but if you think numbers 5-10 on the all time home run list, and Barry Bonds, are or were better players than Babe Ruth, then you clearly know absolutely nothing about baseball. He also had a career ERA of 2.28 in over 100 starts as a pitcher too.
You should probably stop talking now. |

Oh great.... the arrogant know-it-all tard that everybody on TA got sick of listening to is making another appearance. Make a few good points here and there and all of a sudden the peafeather fan out. Yeah, clearly I know nothing about baseball because I said Babe Ruth would be irrelevant today. And clearly I'm a ing idiot who needs to stop talking because I had the gall to compare Kobe with Jordan and laugh at the idea of John Havlicek and John Stockton being ranked above Kobe, when you know damn well that's laughable. off. |

I concur.
You really don't argue well. I think you may have an anger problem. I believe it was you that has suggested many times that Nou should kill himself because you don't agree on politics. |

I argue better than you lie... just keep that in mind. I don't have an anger problem, I just have no tolerance for pricks who think they can talk down to me based on opinion rather than fact. You're a poor judge of one's character if you want to base your assessment of me on TA conversations. You honestly think the real me wishes Nou would commit suicide? Really? Let's ask the collective around here what they think of you. I wonder- would you think they were accurate in their analysis of you based on your TA persona? |

Not at all, and what exactly did I lie about pray tell? And you have no tolerance for pricks who think they can talk down to you based on opinion rather than fact? Maybe you should take a look in a mirror buddy. And now that I think about it, yes, I think you have an anger problem. I think you have an anger problem because you throw little hissy fits when someone 10 years your younger calls you out for making stupid comparisons and straw man tactics to try to "prove" something that cannot be proven. You attack someones character to try and prove them wrong. You get personal with almost every argument that you enter. Either you have an anger problem and aren't willing to admit it, or you're just hyper-sensitive to anybody disagreeing with you.
I don't really know what your issues are, and I don't really care, but do you ever wonder why the arguments that you get into on TA are so heated? You take it there. You're the catalyst. So I've said my peace, and I'm sure you're constructing the ultimate retort right now to try and attack me (as is your style) so if that comes, thank you for proving my point, and if it doesn't, then I'm glad you were able to control your problems for once. |

Should we ask Jenny about the lies she caught you in? I'm not going to get into an arm-chair psychologist debate with you about your mock diagnoses of my "anger issues". You come out guns ablazing with these opinionated arguments, and when I do EXACTLY the same thing and present the other side, you get all haughty like "Waaahhh, you're stupid. Don't ever talk again. Clearly you know nothing", like you're some ing sports guru. Yet you tell me I'm the one getting personal? Good god you're such a hypocrite. I'm trying to prove something that can't be proved, and you're pointedly telling me I'm stupid and know nothing if I don't put John Havlicek and John Stockton ahead of Kobe? Now THAT is comedy. I can't remember the last time I read a single post with this much projection. If I'm such a problem, why did you send me an olive branch PM trying to bury the hatchet a couple weeks ago, then try to friend me on facebook?

I... I thought you knew what my issues were, all knowing/all seeing srussell. Anger. Remember? You diagnosed me. Let's see- who do I get heated with on here: Nou, who is universally known as a pet-peeve personified. You, who pretty much nobody likes for all the hard talk and bull you started flaming about a few weeks back, classlessy ripping into Jenny for her chosen profession. And that's about it. Jay sometimes but who's skin doesn't he get under?
You're clever little crescendo line at the end is so gay... oooooh snap! Ya got me! Dude you're the king of getting into heated argument on here. I mean this when I say it's not personal- you are just a very unlikable person man. And it's kind of sad to see the effort you put in on a daily basis trying to insert yourself into every conversation and get everyone on here "to be down" with srussell. I actually thought you were turning over a new leaf when you sent the olive branch but I should have done like everyone else and just gone with my gut on you. |

Stockton greater than Kobe? WOW...
Whatever...haters gonna hate. They'll pull any stupid argument out to discredit a great player.
The reason why Shaq got MVP throughout the first 3-peat is pretty ing obvious. Look at his numbers. He was in his prime. Kobe was still coming into his own. But having said that: with the game on the line who handled the ball? ing Kobe. |

Great players are defined by how they match up against their peers...how is there any argument against that? Of course players have more athleticism now than those that came before them - over time it's become embedded in the game. The game is constantly evolving. How great players are defined is not.
I think Kobe is a top 10 players in the history of the game, at this point. Top 5? No. He's not better than Jordan, Chamberlain, Magic, Kareem, or Bird...I think those would be tough to argue - but he's a leader, he's a winner, and he's a great player. Maybe he isn't as pure a player as those others mentioned, but he's raw and he brings that assassins mentality to the game.... |
